Requesting a Military Haircut - The High and Tight Fade
Requesting a Military Haircut - The High and Tight Fade What's up guys! Today I'm showing you guys how I requested my most recent men's haircut (a military haircut) the high and tight fade. The term military cut is actually an umbrella term that encompasses the high and tight, the flat top, burr cut etc. There are some variations you can play with when requesting a high and tight fade like this as well. Currently, I've seen guys rock a high and tight fade with long hair up top the contrast in length between the top and sides makes for a very clean look that still has really good versatility. If you guys enjoyed this video hit that thumbs up! Also as I said I take suggestions in the comments down below or on Instagram so if you'd like to make a video request at all feel free to reach out! How To Request This Style - A high and tight fade starting around a mid temple or higher depending on your face shape and desired style. - A skin fade on the sides and back - Finger length up top Products Used in This Video Aveda Thickening Tonic - https://amzn.to/2O6rTEY Lockhart's Fire and Brimstone Matte Clay - https://amzn.to/2V271lA ________________________ DISCLAIMER Some of the links above are affiliate links, where I earn a small commission if you click on the link and purchase an item. Pete & Pedro Review: Putty vs. Clay (Men's Short Hairstyle)
Pete And Pedro Review Time! I had a pretty good response on the BluMaan video I did a couple weeks back. So I decided to do another product review for one of the other biggest YouTubers out there, Aaron Marino and his company Pete & Pedro. I used both these products over the last month and combined them both with my Aveda Thickening Tonic. *Affiliate Links Below* Aveda Thickening Tonic - https://amzn.to/2O6rTEY Pete & Pedro Putty - https://amzn.to/2LySBYx Pete & Pedro Clay - https://amzn.to/2LzPjAO Here's the Pete & Pedro Website as well! https://peteandpedro.com/ The Putty Let's get into the break down of each product and we'll start with the Putty. The Putty brings a much higher amount of hold and shine to the table. On the website it's said to have "Low Shine", however, I would consider it to be at the very least medium shine. Also, like I said in the video I feel like it has more characteristics of a cream wax hybrid as opposed to just a putty. The Clay The clay was INCREDIBLY weightless and creamy. It mirrored some of the characteristics of the BluMaan product I reviewed in terms of consistency and coloring. It's comparable to a lotion if I was to give you something to compare it to. It also has almost no smell so if you prefer products with little to no scent added then I would recommend this over the Putty. My Personal Preference? I like the clay given my current hair length and style. I will revisit the Pete & Pedro Putty once my hair is a bit longer. I do however also feel that the putty lends itself better to those with thicker hair as well. Clays are always a preference for me since they usually include ingredients that help give me the appearance of thicker and fuller hair. #Alpham #PeteandPedro #Menshairstyle MUSIC BY: https://soundcloud.com/lakeyinspired/tracks FOLLOW ME: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelvinkrupiak/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/KelvinKrupiak Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ktkrupiak/

How to Request and Style a Flat Top Haircut (Men's Haircut)
Flat top Haircut What's up guys welcome back to the channel today I'm going to walk you through my most recent men's haircut the flat top. I do want to give a big thank you to @fade_station for allowing me to come in and film this cut they're located here in Albuquerque and if you'd like to check out some of their work you can find them on Instagram or Facebook. IG - https://www.instagram.com/fade_station/ Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/fadestation/ Now to start with you'll see my barber wants to establish the general shape that he'll be operating within as he progresses through this men's haircut. So to start off he's going to use the top of my head as the lowest point of the cut. This will help him avoid overcutting as he continues to shape the style. Once he's done so he's going to start removing a majority of the bulk which will help show that uniform flat top haircut style we're all used to seeing. Next, it's time to address the sides and I have to say I thought long and hard about what I wanted to do with the sides. Since I've already shown what my sides look like with a high and tight fade... Full video Here https://youtu.be/AlbRZIlJ98A I wanted to try bringing the fade down a bit to add some dimension to the hairstyle. So I requested a 1.5 on the sides and a zero right around the neckline and around the ears. The only place you'll see the razor being used this time is the lower part of the back of my neck. It's really personal preference when it comes to the sides of this particular haircut. think about your face shape because this is another men's haircut that can add a lot of structure to a rounder face which it what you want to try and achieve if you do have a round face shape. I hope you guys enjoyed the video if you did don't forget to hit that thumbs up above and be sure to subscribe to the channel if you're new here. How to Request and Style a Buzz Cut (Men's Haircut)
How to Request and Style a Buzz Cut (Men's Haircut) What's up guys! Today I'm going to show you how you can request and style a men's buzz cut. There are some subtle variations that I chose to go with here with this specific men's hairstyle. Here's how you would request the exact haircut I received here in this video. Request This Men's Hairstyle - 0 taper at the neckline - Faded into a 2 on the sides - Just under finger length up top layered Really simple one to request from your Baber but bring a picture just in case. As you saw in the video I need a photo to really help clarify how short I wanted to cut to be and how tight and subtle I wanted the fade to be. For styling, I decided on using a matte clay instead of the paste my barber recommended. Instead of using something as smooth and creamy as other clays you've seen me review I'm going to use Lockhart's Professional Matte Clay Medium Hold. This gives me plenty of hold for this short men's hairstyle. The 4 Best Fabrics For Staying Cool in The Summer
What's up guys! It's getting very hot out here in the desert of Albuquerque New Mexico! So what I thought I would do is create a video discussing the 4 best fabrics for staying cool in the summer. ☀️ #1 - Cotton This one is probably the most used fabric in the summer and for good reason. Cotton is lightweight and very breathable. However, it does hold on to moisture much more than the other fabrics listed in the video. If you live somewhere humid I would probably use cotton sparingly because when you start sweating you'll feel sweaty all day. Out here where we have a dry heat cotton is an excellent fabric. Quick heads up on cotton is it of course shrinks when washed. So if you're buying something that is 100% cotton make sure to take that into account when you're trying it on. You might want to buy a slightly different fit to make sure it still fits you properly after you've washed it. Cotton also tends to get more wrinkled than a lot of other fabrics. You can buy cotton polyester blends to help reduce the amount of wrinkling and shrinking that happens though. #2 - Linen Linen is a GREAT if not one of the absolute best summer fabrics out there. It absorbs moisture very well and dries very very quick. It's a very loosely woven fabric as well which is what makes it so breathable. There are more casual clothing items you can wear that are made from linen but most of the time I see men wearing linen suits. They look great and they're going to be your best friend when you're layering different clothing items together in the summer. I would probably recommend that if you own anything linen you get it dry cleaned DO NOT WASH IT on your own....DON'T DO IT! #3 - Rayon Rayon is in my opinion the most comfortable fabric on this list. It was originally invented to be an alternative to silk (which is also a great summer fabric). It drapes the body very nicely and made from very thin fibers. Those fibers are also made from a mix of natural and synthetic material. #4 - Chambray This one is amazing because it gives you a lot of the visual characteristics of denim but it's a much lighter fabric. It allows you to incorporate some very cool dimensions into your outfit even in the hotter months of the year. Chambray is usually made with a higher thread count which is what contributes to its light weight and breathability. Denim itself is also made from cotton but it's very tightly woven which is why its such a heavy fabric. Another reason I'm a huge advocate of chambray is that it absorbs the moisture from sweat without leaving visible marks. Denim Jackets For Men: 5 Jean Jacket Outfit Ideas
Denim Jackets For Men: 5 Jean Jacket Outfit Ideas The Denim Jacket I Have - https://amzn.to/2CGLwze What's up guys welcome back to the channel today we're going to take a look at some ways you can style a denim jacket. Now, a denim jacket it an essential item in most men's wardrobes in my opinion. It gives you a lot of layering options, and that means it's suitable for a variety of different occasions concerning the weather. A Bold Pattern or Print Here you can see I have a short sleeve button up underneath my denim jacket and the two compliment each other very well. We have the added texture of the jean jacket and the eye-catching print all contributing to a very balanced but appealing outfit. It can also be a t-shirt with a striking pattern you'll see the other option I gave was with something using horizontal stripes. The White Oxford A White Oxford is another essential item for every man's wardrobe. The clean style of the shirt is balanced again by the rugged texture of the jean jacket. I like pairing this with dark wash jeans, a brown belt, and brown shoes. Blue and white are a very safe and clean color, and brown is a great accent color for them. Belt From Anson - https://amzn.to/2HKgJFO A Shirt & A Tie When workwear meets business casual attire, you can often encounter some very striking outfits. I'm a fan of introducing a wide variety of elements into an outfit. It feels subtle, but here we have different textures, two different patterns, and four different colors all working together. You can quickly scale this back to be as reserved as you'd like too. A Hoddie Underneath A quick and easy layering option for colder days is to toss a hoodie underneath your denim jacket if you don't experiment with this look all that often my recommendation is to start with a more neutral color hoodie underneath. White, grey and a shade of blue work very well. I feel like a bold graphic on the hoodie can impact the subtlety of the outfit. A White T-Shirt And Chinos This is the easiest outfit to put together in my opinion. You can also do virtually any color of chino you'd like. However, in the video, I did specify that I love lighter color chinos with most of my denim jackets. I feel like the colors balance each other a bit more than darker colors, and something like that light brown I showed you lends itself to a wider variety of shoes as well. New Men’s Hair Product From Philip Defranco (Beautiful Bastard)
New Men’s Hair Product From Philip Defranco What’s up guys welcome back to the channel my name today I’m reviewing a New Men’s Hair Product that was launched by Philip Defranco! I'm always very excited to test out new products from creators generally they're very in touch with their fan base. Matte Clay Pomade - http://bit.ly/2XXbNS3 Aveda Thickening Tonic - https://amzn.to/2O6rTEY Product Ingredients Kaolin Clay - Can help strengthen hair and provide you with some additional texture and thickness. An excellent ingredient for those of us with thin and fine hair. Jojoba Oil - Generally applied to the skin. However, this vitamin-rich oil can also help moisturize your scalp. It is used to give hair a soft and thicker look while providing your hair with a variety of vitamins including C, B, and E. Coconut Oil - Strengthens the hair, provides moisture to the scalp, and can reduce oil build up. Castor Oil - Rich in a specific type of fatty acid that can help alleviate inflammation. Helps improve the health of your hair follicles. Known for the lubrication it can help to provide. Hydrogenated Castor Oil (also referred to as castor wax) - Generally used as an anti-humidity agent. Harder "waxy" ingredient generally making the product more difficult to rinse out with just water. Carnauba Wax - Plant-based wax that is generally very tough but can provide for a smooth application in hair products. This is what's referred to as an emulsifier which facilitates the smooth blending of oil and liquid. Arrowroot Powder & Essential Oils - Arrowroot Powder naturally absorbs moisture and helps to provide additional thickness to the hair. My final thoughts on the product? I really enjoyed using it I won't be using it daily because as I said it's an oil based product that is difficult to rinse out of your hair with just water and there was slight product build up if I left the product in my hair without washing it. However, that all being said because it performed so well in terms of the finish and the additional texture and thickness it helped provide to my hair I am planning on keeping it in my rotation and using it on days where I'm already planning on using shampoo anyway. Best Way to Keep Your Shirt Tucked in (ALL DAY)
Best Way to Keep Your Shirt Tucked in (ALL DAY) What's up guys today I'm showing you what I would consider the best 3 methods for keeping your shirt tucked in throughout the day. * Quick disclaimer the two links you see below are affiliate links. If you do want to purchase the products I mention and you do use these links I get a small commission that helps support the growth of my channel. * #1 - The Military Tuck I'm sure many of you are familiar with this one. I myself learned about it at an early age and executed it wrong for years. There were little details in this style of shirt tuck that I just wasn't figuring out. I would consider this an effective short-term tucking solution. I say short-term because You'll almost never make it through the whole day with a military tuck. You'll find yourself readjusting it again and again as the day progresses. #2 - Magnetucks - https://amzn.to/2MPVCEd This is a really great idea that (IMO) works really well. I was skeptical of how well these could actually hold your shirt down but after using them for months I'm 100% convinced of their effectiveness. These come in pairs and the magnets clamp onto your shirt and use the belt to prevent the shirt from sliding up any further. So obviously you'll need a belt for these to work but I imagine in most situations where you're wearing a dress shirt you'll have a belt. The one place where these do fall a little short is during any quick moments of "excessive" movement. If you raise your arms above your head, for example, that should be enough force to pull the Magnetucks apart. However, I find that those moments are few and far between and this product makes up for any shortcomings by being the most convenient and comfortable solution on this list. You can buy them here - https://amzn.to/2MPVCEd #3 - Shirt Stays - https://amzn.to/2BLEICB These are hands down the most effective solution for keeping that shirt tightly tucked all day no questions asked. I'm currently testing out a pair of KK&Jay stays and so far I've had no problems with them. The secure at two points on the shirt and then one point on your socks to lock the shirt into place. Admittedly they can become somewhat uncomfortable throughout the day. So I've found my self-using a combination of these and the magnetucks more and more depending on how long of a day I'm planning on having. For example, if I have a long work day ahead of me I'll probably use magnetucks because they'll be more comfortable for a longer period of time. You can buy them here - https://amzn.to/2BLEICB If I'm going to a wedding or a meeting then I'll probably use the shirt stays because I won't have to wear them all day. Men's Haircut: How to Request & Style the Gentleman's Cut
How to Request & Style the Gentleman's Haircut What's up guys! Today I'm showing you a very versatile men's haircut. The gentleman's cut is suitable for most hair types and and bring a lot of symmetry to most face shapes. Here in this video I'm requesting a .5 tapered up into a 2 for the sides and back. On the top I requested that my barber layer my hair. Excess weight especially with fine hair can prevent you from achieving the volume you're looking for. Layering is a great way to keep the hair long (in some parts) and shorter in other sections to lighten up the overall weight when styling you hair. Now I also wanted to show you guys how this men's haircut looked after a week because by then the gentleman's cut has grown into a more natural look. The look you have right out of the chair isn't going to be the look your hair has for the coming weeks. Now I always shower in the morning to wet and reset my hair before styling. Then after I've towel dried the hair I use 2 sprays of the Aveda Thickening Tonic. Aveda Thickening Tonic https://amzn.to/2IFurtB Once I've worked the tonic into my hair with my hands, I start using the blow dryer to add shape to the style and help the product absorb. Then it's time to add the product! In the first half of the video you see my hair styled with Lockhart's Professional Matte Clay. Lockhart's Professional Matte Clay https://amzn.to/2IhYZT5 In the second part of the video I'm using Byrd which is a water soluble matte pomade. I actually found this product in Target which was really surprising to me. I used hair products from places like target and Walmart all through high school and I was always incredibly disappointed. So, this was a very pleasant surprise! Byrd - https://amzn.to/2wgTcav Finally make sure to apply the product from the back to front and then from the front to the back. Then take one more pass with the brush and hair dryer to complete the styling. Then adjust anything you need with you hands and you're ready for the day! Thank you so much for watching I've got the spring look book hopefully coming out next week! Tips On How To Identify A Quality Men's Suit Over A Cheap Suit
What's up Gentleman! Today we're looking at ways you can spot a quality suit over a cheap suit. The last thing you want is to pick up a suit for $99 and call it good. Most suits in that price range (that aren't used or picked up at a consignment store) are made using polyester and glue. Meaning it will most likely be falling apart on you the following month. So! This suit I have on here is from Suit Supply and this is not sponsored at all because....well...I have 200 subscribers so....why would it be? Now then! The main things I look for when I'm trying to identify a quality suit are as follows. #1 - The Type of Fabric [ 1:08 ] You really should be looking for suits that are AT THE VERY LEAST 100% wool anything less than that it no good in my book. Polyester as the fabric is probably the most common trait of a cheap suit. Not only does it not last as long but it also doesn't breath as well as wool. Meaning when you have to pack on those layers you'll be sweating up a storm! #2 - Where The Fabric is From [ 1:31 ] Generally if the fabric came from Asia its cheaper by nature. Try to make sure the fabric it self is from Italy, France, England or even the United States. #3 - The Lining [ 2:07 ] The lining is a big one!!! What we're looking for when inspecting the lining is glue. We want an inner lining that has been stitched together not glued together. If you don't see the stitching then chances are you have what's referred to as a fused interlining. Which is not only cheaper but eventually when that glue gives out you'll see these unappealing bubbles start to form beneath the material. #4 - The Stitching [ 2:54 ] Obviously the more hand stitching that goes into your suit the more premium and high quality it is. However, if you're looking to save some money this is one of the areas you'll probably have to make some slight compromises. Machine stitching is by no means on par with hand stitching but if you've made sure you have a half canvas and quality fabric you should be able to to get away with a suit that will still last you for a while. #5 - The Details [ 3:52 ] This can be a very broad area to cover depending on your price range and the style of suit. However, the most general details to always be aware of are the buttons, fraying fabric, and rounded corners. - The Fabric [ 4:00 ] This should ideally not be compromised before you've even purchased the suit. If it is then chances are you'll have some issues with durability down the line. - The Buttons [ 4:13 ] For the buttons you should avoid plastic if possible. Try and find buttons that are made from horn or even Corozo which is a nut that comes from the Corozo Palm. - Rounded Corners [ 4:29 ] - Rounded corners are by no means an absolute deal breaker. They do help you spot the additional time and care that was put into the suit though. Men's Business Casual: 3 Killer Outfits To Wear To Work 😎
Today marks my very first video devoted to Men's Fashion! I've been wanting to create some content centered around the subject for quite some time now. Some of the content in this video I actually got to use for another channel I manage for Easy Agent Pro. The center of focus in this video is men's business casual attire. All three of these outfits can be dressed up or down even further than what you see in this video. You have quite a bit of flexibility with everything I show you here. Before I dive into the outfits themselves though I bring some attention to some of the staple items of my wardrobe that I like to use on a very frequent basis. The Shoes, Watch, Belt, and Sunglasses #1 - Double Monks (Cole Haan) These are easily my favorite dress shoe, and they are definitely under-represented in the professional community. If you're looking to attract attention and stand out start with a pair of double monks. #2 - Chrono Watch (MVMT) Very simple and versatile watch that gives you plenty of flexibility. I'm a very big fan of MVMT, the balance of quality and price they bring to the table is insane. The cut out the middle man in the pieces which allow them to keep their costs lower than higher priced timepieces out there. #3 - Leather Belt Always make sure you have a belt and always make sure it matches your shoes. I matched the belt and shoes very closely here but you can also play around with different shades of brown to add more contrast between the watch, shoes, and watch. #4 - Clubmasters (Ray Ban) I've been a fan of Ray Bans since I was a little kid. This specific pair is a pair of clubmasters (black and gold). Subtle touches of gold can have a dramatic impact on the overall feel of an outfit. I defintly think it adds to the level of professinoalism in every single outfit.

How To Tie A Tie: The Windsor Knot & The Four-in-Hand Knot
How To Tie A Tie Alright guys first things first I apologize for saying four hand knot instead of "four IN hand knot" every since I was a kid I left out the in. Anyway..... The Windsor Knot Today we're walking through exactly how to tie a tie specifically the Windsor knot and the FOUR IN HAND knot. These two different knots will have you covered for virtually every social situation you're ever in. The Windsor knot is a more formal knot appropriate for work, weddings, job interviews you name it. It's also a more bulky knot and not something I generally advise with knit ties. A ticker fabric makes this knot very unreasonable. The Four-in-Hand Knot The Four-in-Hand knot is a more casual knot very suitable for a date or a night out at a bar. If you're wearing something like jeans and a button up and you want to add a splash of color or a contrasting pattern with a tie keep it casual with the Four-in-hand knot. Men's Haircut: How to Request a Short Textured Haircut For Men
What's up guys! Today I'm cutting off a lot of the length in my hair finally! I've been rocking the Gentleman cut up top for quite a while now. What to request from your barber Tapered Sides So what I requested from my barber personally was a 3.5 tapered up to the top. So not a high and tight cut I'm definitely adding more length into mine. Textured Top Now one of the things you need to look for if you want to achieve proper texture in this shorter hairstyle is how how your barber adds texture. You should see them adding in short quick cuts that are randomly adjusting the length of the hair throughout the top of your head. If they're making everything perfectly even you won't have the visible texture you're after. If you have naturally wavy or thick hair your barber should be able to accentuate the natural texture your hair provides. 5 Tips For Men Who Want THICKER HAIR
Hey Guys! So today I'm going to give you some of my favorite strategies for having thicker hair. I have naturally thin and fine hair, and for the longest time, it was incredibly frustrating trying to achieve certain styles. After a while, I started looking for different ways to have thicker fuller looking hair. #1 - Find The Right Shampoo The first tip I have is to find a bottle of shampoo that isn't making it impossible for your hair to develop the texture and thickness you're after. Find a shampoo that isn't filled with sulfates and other harsh ingredients. There is also shampoo's that claim to add thickness to your hair because of the inclusion of ingredients like Biotin. However, I think it's important to know that there isn't enough definitive proof to support the claim that biotin infused shampoo gives you thicker fuller hair. #2 - Learn How to Handle Wet Hair Another important thing you'll come to realize is it's important to know how to properly handle your hair while it's wet. Your hair is at its weakest when it's wet, and as such if you're too aggressive with it, you can cause breakage. Don't comb or brush your hair while it's wet instead try using your fingers most of the time until your hair is only moderately damp. Also, avoid being too aggressive with your towel when you're drying your hair. I like to pat my hair until its dry instead. #3 - Use a Thickening Tonic The AVEDA thickening tonic is by far my favorite to use however it is slightly expensive I would say. The benefit to it though it that it works incredibly well and it doesn't impact the finish of your hair concerning shine or hold. Also depending on the length of the hair, you'll be fine with 1-2 sprays most of the time so it can last you for quite a while. AVEDA Thickening Tonic - https://amzn.to/2IFurtB The more cost-effective alternative would be to use something like this balm I found from Tresemme. I usually find for between $5 - $8. The only downside to it is it does impact the finish of your hair to some degree, and it makes it a little more difficult to adjust your hairstyle later in the day. I also found it very important to be both conditioning and using an oil argan oil for example if your hair is like mine. Consistent use of this product didn't build up, but it looked like it started drying my hair out slightly when I wasn't using the oil to help hydrate it. Tresemme Thicker Fuller Hair Balm - https://amzn.to/2Q2mvHq Cost Effective Version of Argan Oil - https://amzn.to/2rtLSmD #4 - Using The Right Hair Product I moved away from pastes and gels in high school when I found clay's and it was like a match made in heaven. Clays typically have ingredients like kaolin and bentonite which are great for men looking for extra volume and texture. Right now I'm rotating between two different clays, and I'll link to them right down below. Lockharts Medium Hold Matte Clay - https://amzn.to/2JC6Ms6 Lockharts Clay Review Video - https://youtu.be/eILy7HvqgrI Toni & Guy Clay - https://amzn.to/2PXLwDL #5 - Start Wearing a Hat This is important for everyone, but it's especially important for men who feel like their hair is thinning up top. If you find yourself in that situation, then you need to wear a hat if you're out in the sun throughout the day. If your scalp gets sunburned, then it releases a compound called Superoxide which can shift your hair follicles out of a growth phase and into a shedding phase. Men's Fashion 2019 - Spring & Summer Trends What's up guys welcome back to the channel today we're going to take a look at some of the upcoming trends in the world of Mens Fashion 2019. Trend #1 - Sage is The New Color Now there were plenty of trends incorporating bright, vibrant colors which is what you'd expect in the spring and summer. However, darker shades of green really stood out in a number of different fashion shows and this color for this particular part of the year stands out to me because it's a darker and more neutral color than you would expect. I anticipate a lot of men still focusing on bright, vibrant colors so if you want to separate yourself from that consider using darker more muted tones. Trend #2 - Who Wears Short Shorts? Short shorts are next on the list, and this became a trend with swimwear a while back too. It's gradually moved over into non-beach attire as well. I've always felt a little self-conscious about wearing shorts that come up this high, but as I said in the video, I'm 100% an advocate of pushing yourself out of your comfort zone even if it's just occasionally. So to start with this trend, I picked up a pair of shorts from Target that are still short since they sit well above the knee and you can experiment with making them even shorter by cuffing them. Trend #3 - Clashing Patterns This one is a difficult one for me to visualize myself participating in. I love how free you can be with a trend like this though. There are almost no rules to this trend so you can be as impulsive as you want. However, I think clashing patterns to this extent goes against a lot of the more traditional schools of thought when it comes to bringing balance to an outfit. I would recommend starting with more usual and conventional patterns that clash before you jump straight into trying to pull off large colorful patterns and graphics. I think having experience balancing the classic patterns like stripes and polka dots will help you tremendously with this trend. Trend #4 - Double Breasted Jackets This one I'm excited about because I don't see many men wear a double-breasted jacket in the spring and summer. So this is a tremendous opportunity to wear something different than what a lot of the people around you are wearing. Double breasted for those of you who may not have heard the term before refers to a jacket with a significant amount of fabric that overlaps and usually you would see this managed with two sets of buttons. SuitSupply - http://bit.ly/2WUKdFz Trend #5 - Hiking Sandals So I wasn't expecting myself to say I was for this trend, but I'm coming around to it for sure. Still not ok with socks and sandals being worn together although with the way things are trending that could eventually become a trend we see appear. For this, I would also recommend something like ASOS they don't have an incredibly expansive library of sandals to choose from however they are very straight forward cost-effective designs, and they should lend themselves very well to a variety of outfits. How To Make Your Haircut Last Longer | Men's Haircut
What's up guys! Today I'm going to give you some ways you can trim up your hair flying solo. These are all things I do if I'm looking to extend the lifespan of my men's haircut. $30 for a haircut can be a lot I totally get that! However, if you can make your haircut last you a few months it's a totally worthwhile expense. For example, if you can make it two months with your cut you're looking at $15 a month for a PROPER FUNCTIONAL cut. A good haircut will grow back out in a way that looks much better. If everything is layered correctly and tapered properly you'll be able to get more mileage out of that men's haircut. Men's Casual Style: Killer Casual Outfits All Men Can Rock 🔥
What's up guys! Today I'm throwing together another lookbook and I'm bringing you guys 4 stylish casual outfits all men can rock! All the brands are listed down below if I was able to find a link to a spot where you can order the product online I've included that as well :] Outfit #1 - Denim on Denim I LOVE denim probably a little more than the next guy. But first it is hot in the summer so when I'm rocking an outfit like this I try to make sure I'm saving it for later in the day when the sun starts to set. Essentially I use it as an evening outfit during the hotter months. Short Sleeve Shirt - SuperDry - http://bit.ly/2u1yneT * I couldn't find the exact version of the shirt I'm wearing here but I found something that is almost identical Distressed Jeans - H&M Canvas Hightops - Vans - https://amzn.to/2MNf2Gn Bracelet - Craighill - https://amzn.to/2KIcfgF Watch - MVMT - https://amzn.to/2IQ3Hmx Outfit #2 - Casual Tanks Since the denim on denim outfit is really a better outfit for the evenings I have to have something to wear during the day! I like to rock a casual tank top and some stylish shorts and sneakers. This tank top is made in California and it's from Aviator Nation which is a brand I fell in love with on my last trip out there. What's great about this tank is it's a blend of Cotton, Polyester, and Rayon. Giving you a balance of some great features! It's breathable, lightweight, absorbs moisture well and it doesn't wrinkle very much at all. Tank Top - Aviator Nation - http://bit.ly/2u1tNxi Shorts - Volcom - https://amzn.to/2MHqnHR Shoes - Goodfellow & Co - http://bit.ly/2z8KYmv Glasses - RayBan - https://amzn.to/2KxafvO Outfit #3 - Floral Prints....AGAIN Guys...Spring and Summer demand a floral print shirt! This one is from Original Penguin and the fit is fantastic. the dark blue and white contrast the bright coral shorts very very well. Also, I felt that the Clubmasters worked with the last outfit but they shine here specifically. The black and gold compliment the existing elements of the outfit but also add a separate dimension to what you're wearing entirely. You have some freedom with the shoes you decide to wear but white fashion sneakers are ALWAYS a pretty safe bet. Shirt - Original Penguin - https://www.originalpenguin.com/ Shorts - Nautica - https://www.nautica.com/ Shoes - Goodfellow & Co - http://bit.ly/2z8KYmv Glasses - RayBan - https://amzn.to/2KxafvO Outfit #3 - Light Color Tones one thing I don't see enough of it men mixing light color tones during the summer. Here we have a light pink shirt and some grey/blue chinos. First the chinos are a great alternative to shorts or jeans because they are 100% cotton and therefore more breathable. The shirt I love here I found it at Marshalls by chance. I can't remember the brand but as soon as I figure it out I'll edit this description with it. The chinos are from Target and they're an athletic fit. To be 100% honest with you I meant to purchase the slim fit but this pair was mixed in with the slim chinos so I accidentally bought athletic. BluMaan Product Review: Monarch Matte Paste
What's up guys! Today I'm doing a BluMaan product review! I'll be reviewing the Monarch Matte Paste which is a product I've been very excited to get my hands on. I'm a huge fan of Joe and the BluMaan channel however I haven't found a product from his lineup that I think works very well for my hair specifically. So admittedly I went into this review with high hopes. BluMaan Website: https://blumaan.com/products/monarch-matte-paste BluMaan Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/joeisblu Now, let's break down all the different elements of the product starting with the packaging. Product Packaging The product comes in a small box with the signature BluMaan artwork. It's by no means a luxury unboxing experience but I think that's totally fine. I always appreciate when there is some type of effort placed on providing some type of quality unboxing experience. You'll also find a short blurb about one of the social causes the company supports on the side of the packaging. For more information on the organizations that BluMaan contributes to that help protect animals and their habitats you can visit their website. Ingredients Seeing water at the top of the list here is very common. They obviously have a very strong interest in providing products that are water soluble. From there you'll notice various wax compounds and two other stand out ingredients...Kaolin and Bentonite. Which are honestly unexpected ingredients to something that is being labeled as a paste. Those two ingredients are very common in clay's and help contribute to adding additional texture to your hair. Overall I greatly appreciated the addition of these two ingredients. Smell No real mention of the scent on the website itself. However, personally I was smelling what I would consider to be a VERY FAINT floral smell with slight citrus notes. Characteristics of the Paste Itself The paste is very creamy and reminiscent of the Hybrid cream clay to me. You'll notice it has a slight grey hue and it applies very easily. I didn't feel any pulling or tugging when applying the to my hair. I did feel the product start to slightly grab when I was warming it up between my hands though. So I would say its very important to remember to emulsify the product if you want to get the full amount of hold out of the product. Hold I found that the product actually did a great job holding my hair throughout the entire day. This was an issue I had with the Hybrid Cream Clay a while back. But that wasn't an issue with the Monarch Matte Paste. Styling and Finish So in this video I have short textured hair and I'm applying the product with my thickening tonic. I like to apply the product to slightly damp hair so it seals in a very slight gloss. I'm also letting the hair dry naturally while my hair is short like this. I've just found that if I use a blowdryer the shape of my hair really locks into place and it's difficult to reshape it later in the day. Grooming Men's Eyebrows: How To Trim & Tweeze Your Eyebrows
What's up guys! Today we're looking at how you can properly tweeze and groom your eyebrows. Now big disclaimer I don't mind leaving my eyebrows relatively thick. I don't think you have to arch them if you don't want to! I think a lot of different elements of grooming can come down to personal preference. That being said there will still always be grooming essentials. Like avoiding a unibrow. We want to clean up the hairs in the middle of our eyebrows and on the ends of our eyebrows. If left un tweezed these hairs will simply run rampant! My Favorite Tweezers Revlon Expert: https://amzn.to/2skFu1X ApeX Original Round Tip: https://amzn.to/2kzHteF After you've taken care of both the center and outer sections of your eyebrows, it's time to trim! You can do this one of two ways you can use the time tested and true method of grooming scissors and a comb or you can use a groom tool. The scissors and comb combination will give you way more control over maintaining ideal levels of symmetry. Grooming tools can work well however, some of them in my experience have been inconsistent. I'm currently using the Philips Norelco Series 3000 and it has done a great job removing bulk from my eyebrows when testing it. However, I'd still rather stick with the scissors and comb. Men's Dress Shirt Mistakes And How to Fix Them
Men's Dress Shirt Mistakes And How to Fix Them What's up guys today I'm going to cover 7 of the most common men's dress shirt mistakes and how you can fix them! I'll have time stamps here in the description as well as in the pinned comment below! Subscribe - http://bit.ly/2xJbzmU Dress Shirt Mistake #1 - Your Alignment is Off (0:27) This is specifically referring to your "gig line" which is a military term used to refer to the alignment of your shirt buttons, belt buckle, and pants zipper. It might sound like a very small detail but it's amazing how sensitive the human eye is to symmetry. Dress Shirt Mistake #2 - Your Undershirt is Visible (1:00) Like I said in the video men should wear undershirts with their dress shirts to reduce the chance of sweat stains making an appearance. However, by tackling one problem a lot of men create a whole new one without realizing it. White undershirts are very easy to see under most classic men's dress shirt colors. so Fix that by using a grey or even a skin tone undershirt instead. My Favorite Undershirts (in grey of course) V-Neck - https://amzn.to/2yfgWK4 Deep V - https://amzn.to/2BYxwBo Also, make sure it's a v-neck or even a deep v instead of a crew neck. This is going to allow you some flexibility later in the evening if you want to remove your tie and unbutton a few buttons when you're in a more casual environment. Dress Shirt Mistake #3 - You're Unbuttoning Your Collar (2:06) This is specific to more casual shirts but I see it happen so often I felt like it was something worth mentioning. Basically, shirts that have buttons on the collar are referred to as "button-down shirts". This includes Oxfords for example. Some men like to unbutton the collar but that's less than advisable. They're there for a reason, the collar on shirts like that are much less rigid than most dress shirts. Having the collar move around loosely is another small detail that can impact the entirety of your outfit negatively. Dress Shirt Mistake #4 - Your Shirt Is Baggy (2:42) Basically, this equates to poorly tucking your dress shirt. I made a video a few weeks back on my 3 favorite ways to keep my dress shirt tucked (without using your boxers). Watch the full video here - https://youtu.be/W71vsm2ofeM That excess fabric that tends to build up around your waist is very distracting. So make sure the focus stays on how well kept your outfit is instead of how baggy your shirt is. Dress Shirt Mistake #5 - You're Leaving Your Shirt Untucked (3:15) I've actually seen this one more than you might believe. So many men have tried to leave their dress shirts untucked as "unique style choice". While it's fine to experiment and develop your own style there are some men's fashion fundamentals that should still always be well observed. If your shirt is past your butt in length it's not ok to leave it untucked. More casual dress shirts should sit right around mid crotch and have a higher rise in the back. Dress Shirt Mistake #6 - You're Rolling Your Sleeves Wrong (3:46) This is another one that can completely derail the entire outfit. Sloppy sleeves are not acceptable especially since it only takes a few seconds to roll them correctly. Attention to detail goes a long way in the world of men's fashion. I did a video in the past on my 3 favorite ways to roll my sleeves you'll find the link to that video below. Watch The Full Video - https://youtu.be/5Lc_v-r_sYc Dress Shirt Mistake #7 - A Wrinkled Dress Shirt (4:10) This is another one that some of you might be confused by but as I said in the video there are plenty of times I've seen guys who were on a time crunch leave to something important with a wrinkled dress shirt because they had no other choice. It happens and I've been there I promise. So pick up something like a garment steamer that can really come in handy in a pinch. Working Out While Traveling & Getting Creative
What's up guys! Today's video is probably going to be a bit less polished than the rest of the content I put up on this channel. However, I set a goal for myself to upload at least two videos a week. I'm trying to be more consistent on the days as well but for right now AT LEAST two videos a week! So what I thought would be a great video is something giving you some possible ideas for working out while traveling. I personally hate hotel gyms so I decided to take to head to the park. Here's an outline of the workout I did in the video as well. #1 - Leg Decline Push Ups (3 sets of 15 - 20) #2 - Box/Table Jumps (4 Sets of 15) #3 - Hanging Leg Raises ( 3 Sets to failure) #4 - Shoulder Pushups (4 Sets 10 - 12) #5 - Chinups (3 Sets to failure) There's honestly no specific structure to it. I basically hit full body on that day. Which I think is fine, I think it's totally acceptable to have days where you're not so focused on the structure or sticking to a specific routine/muscle group. Just workout and have fun while you're outside enjoying the weather! I love going out of town ESPECIALLY to California. I just hate taking a complete week off from working out. So I try to do something like this 2 - 3 times during a week long trip. I hope you guys found the video helpful/entertaining! How To Roll Your Sleeves Like a Gentleman | 3 Ways to Roll Your Sleeves
How To Roll Your Sleeves Like a Gentleman Today I'm breaking down three of my go-to sleeve rolls for every occasion! I believe wholeheartedly that there's an art to dressing well. And just like with so many art forms I also believe there's a lot to be appreciated with respect to the details. Things like subtle pick stitching, properly laced dress shoes, matching your belt and your shoes....or PROPERLY rolled sleeves. #1 - The Basic Roll Probably the most common roll you'll come across and with good reason, it's very straightforward and works great for most thinner button up shirts. Now, "thinner" is my personal opinion and I say that because I've had shirts that were definitely a bit bulkier and by the third roll using the basic roll my sleeves look abnormally bulky. #2 - The Master Roll This is one of my favorite go-to rolls because it has a bit more character than a lot of the other ways people recommend you roll your sleeves. It's also a bit better for shirts that are somewhat heavier because there's less repetitive rolling going on. Here you'll take the cuff and roll it back to your elbow first. Then you'll take the remaining portion of the sleeve that is now below your cuff and roll that up and over the cuff itself. You have the freedom to leave as much of the underside of the cuff exposed as you would like here. #3 - The Marine This roll traditionally sits higher up on your arms and is obviously inspired by the marines. This roll is meant to be much cleaner and tighter than the other two sleeve rolls on this list. It's also a more difficult sleeve roll and it's recommended that you do it before putting your shirt on. MUSIC By: https://soundcloud.com/lakeyinspired/... 5 of The Best Colognes For Men To Start With
5 of The Best Colognes For Men To Start With What's up guys today I'm diving into Men's Cologne; this isn't a subject we've covered here on this channel before so I think this is overdue. I was planning on included "how to apply men's cologne" in this video as well, but it was already approaching the 8-minute mark, so I decided to save that for a future video. PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE JUST MY OPINION. The colognes you decide are the best to start with of course vary and that's totally fine. These are just some of the ones that I've loved using over the years that are on the more cost-effective side. So, the first thing I want to cover is how you can get your hands on quality colognes without spending so much money and committing to a scent you may not like in the long run. The first option you have is to order samples online of the different cologne you want to try. Creed Aventus, for example, is a $300 (plus) bottle of cologne for men. The last thing I would recommend doing is just jumping into a purchase like that until you've tested the cologne for an at least a few weeks to see how it performs for you. Sample Colognes on Amazon - https://amzn.to/2T9Iytr Now outside of buying samples directly, you can also look into a subscription service like Scentbird. Scentbird provides you with a sample of one cologne a month for $14.95 ($11.95 your first month). Which to be honest with you guys I wasn't 100% sold on, but after you look at the numbers, it does make sense. You could sign up for a service like this for let's say six months and have spent almost $90 which is still less than most top tier colognes on the market. And during that time you could test different colognes and find the ones you want to make the more substantial investment in. The only drawback that I took note of is their inventory isn't as extensive yet as I had hoped. Some of the "essentials" in the world of men's cologne were missing from their catalog as of the time of recording this video. However, their inventory is growing all the time, so it's a service worth considering at the very least. Learn More at Their Website - http://bit.ly/2HtS4WQ 5 Great Cologne For Men (To Start With) #1 - Acqua Di Gio This cologne is arguably my favorite of them all because for me it brings together the balance of a reasonable price and a very versatile scent. The only complaint I could make about this cologne is that it doesn't last quite as long as I would want it to. It performs moderately well through the day, but again a versatile scent that great for a professional environment, subtle enough for a date night and refined enough for a formal event. Find it Here - https://amzn.to/2RYUiBF #2 - Mr. Burberry I LOVE the scent profile for this men's cologne. It smells very manly any time there is a very prominent presence of wood in the scent profile...I'm sold. The biggest drawback to this cologne is its performance through the day. Again, it smells great, but it only lasted about 3-4 MAYBE 5 hours max depending on how you apply it. Find it Here - https://amzn.to/2S74qbq #3 - Eros By Versace This cologne is much less versatile as I said in the video. However, it's a very sweet and unique scent on this list. It's enjoyable very playful, and it lasts for quite a while. I see this being a night out on the town cologne and something that's quite suitable for the Fall and Winter. However, I've worn it during the Spring and Summer at night a few times as well. Find it Here - https://amzn.to/2WgobfR #4 - Light Blue By Dolce And Gabbana Light Blue is the epitome of a summer fragrance in my opinion. This is also a cologne that is more confined to a particular segment of the year you'll never find me wearing this in the fall and winter, but you'll find me wearing it throughout the day in the Spring and Summer. Find it Here - https://amzn.to/2RZfyY1 #5 - Black By Kenneth Cole Finally, we have Black by Kenneth Cole which is one of the more cost-effective options on this list. It's also one of the most surprising colognes to show up on this list. By that I mean it's scent is excellent (very masculine) but it also has fantastic performance almost on par with Eros by Versace. Recreating a GQ Look ON A BUDGET (GQ Magazine)
What's up guys! Today I'm recreating a look from GQ the magazine and I'll be doing it on a much smaller budget. I LOVE GQ the only issue I have with them is it can be hard to create one of the outfits they put together when the total cost is anywhere between $1,000 - $2,000. However, I've been creating budget versions of GQ outfits for quite some time now and I decided it might be a good series for the channel. If you guys enjoyed this video HIT THAT THUMBS UP and subscribe for more videos. Also feel free to message me a screenshot if you see an outfit that you would like me to do a video on! My Instagram - http://bit.ly/2witGi3 My Twitter - http://bit.ly/2DxoblI Everything I purchased Pants - http://bit.ly/2BcrGeW Sweater (Express) - http://bit.ly/2QbZlhj Sweater (ASOS) - http://bit.ly/2DuDjPJ Jacket - https://amzn.to/2RZOST3 White Dress Shirt - http://bit.ly/2zew2Rg Knit Tie - https://amzn.to/2PzCxsi The Pants The trousers I picked up come from Target! I found these when they were on clearance and I got them for about $14 after tax. I did, however, end up taking them to get tailored which added another $13 to the total. The reason I needed to get them tailored is that I had to size up in order to find a pair that fit my thighs, calves, and waist properly. The Sweater The sweater I picked up from Express and I love it it's 100%, Merino Wool. Which basically means it's very fine and very soft. I went with a v-neck which shows off a good portion of the tie. These usually run between $50 - $70 at Express but I found a different sweater (made from cotton) that looks very similar and is even cheaper. I found it on ASOS and the link is right above! The Jacket The Jacket I admittedly already had which is why I went with it and I do believe you could do the same. Because of the colors of this outfit, you could easily use most black jackets (even a peacoat). The particular jacket I was wearing goes for $98 on Amazon (at the time of publishing this video) which was the cheapest I was able to find it for. Me Wearing This Jacket - https://youtu.be/oZT95SE58Fs?t=93 The White Dress Shirt This particular shirt I picked up from Burlington's and it was around $20 buck which is incredibly affordable. No, it's not a premium dress shirt by any means but with an outfit like this where you're wearing it under the sweater just to show the collar and cuffs, I think that's more than ok. Me Wearing This sweater - https://youtu.be/oZT95SE58Fs?t=82 The Knit Tie Huge variety of options here so I'm going to link you to a search results page on Amazon where I picked mine up. You could pick one up that's $13 like I did or you could go for something more expensive if your budget allows it. I also chose to add a pattern on my tie since I don't have the stripes on my jacket like the GQ look does. You can always add a pattern somewhere else if you've removed one elsewhere it's all about balance baby! MUSIC By: https://soundcloud.com/lakeyinspired/... 5 Essential Shoes For Every Man #1 - Black/Brown Dress Shoes Every man needs a pair of dress shoes in his closet. Somewhere in your life, you're going to be invited to a formal event or meeting of some kind where you'll need to dress yourself up a bit more than usual. If you don't have dress shoes at all I recommend starting with a pair of black dress shoes first. Usually, you'll see Oxfords or Derby shoes as a go-to choice. With the Oxford being the most formal of the two. I myself have a cap toe oxford with relatively low shine so it's a bit less formal than it could be. However, it provides me with a great deal of flexibility in both a business and formal setting. After you've picked up your black dress shoes I would encourage you to pick up a brown pair of double monks. These shoes have an immense amount of character and they aren't worn as often as they should be. #2 - White Fashion Sneakers An absolute staple point in every man's wardrobe is the white fashion sneaker. A huge part of building out your selection of shoes (especially early on) is flexibility and versatility. The white fashion sneaker covers so many different outfits it's crazy. You can even pair them with a dressed down version of your suit See Example Here - https://youtu.be/WZZ6IkJv6p0?t=1m33s #3 - Converse I personally feel like converse shoes are underrated at the present time. They're an absolute classic in the world of shoes for both men and women alike. Not only do they add a different style to your outfits in comparison to the fashion sneaker but they're also a very durable shoe. I've had mine for years now and they hide every day wear pretty well. #4 -Boots I just have the standard cap toe boot at the moment. I've had both Chelsea boots and Chukkas in the past though. Eventually having all three in your wardrobe would be great, however, until you reach a point where you can comfortably do that just pick one and make it a key element in your wardrobe. #5 - Athletic Shoes Every guy should own a pair of athletic shoes specifically designated for the gym. You can have casual athletic shoes you wear casually with sweats but I'm speaking specifically in an athletic/workout based context. If you don't have a pair of these you're probably not working on being as healthy as you could be. Or you're wearing one of the other shoes on this list to the gym and wearing down good shoes that are more suitable for a casual setting. Men's Skin Care & Hair Care: My ESSENTIAL Products To Use
Welcome back to the channel guys! Today's topic is Men's skin care and Men's Hair Care. Now obviously this is a hugely diverse subject with lots of differing opinions and things will always vary depending on your personal skin type. However that being said I still felt it would be worthwhile to share with you some of the products that I consider to be essential for every man. #1 - Charcoal Facial Soap Product Used: Charcoal Facial Bar - http://bit.ly/2jy2mq0 The skin on your face is different from the skin on the rest of your body an as such should require different products than your body. One of the biggest difference between your body and your face is that a persons face tends to be more oily than their body. Which is one of the reasons I recommend a facial soap that has Charcoal as a main ingredient. First off charcoal is a natural ingredient (obviously) that can prevent chemicals from absorbing into the human body. It also acts as essentially a magnet by absorbing excess oil and dirt that finds its way into your pores. Now I use it everyday because I do have excessively oily skin and I have since high school. However, like I said earlier skin types vary so don't over use it if it dries your skin out too much because that leads to more oil production from your body. I would recommend using it every other day and then increase to everyday if you feel comfortable doing so. #2 - Oil Free Moisturizer Product Used: Neutrogena Sensative Skin - https://amzn.to/2ro2xHT This is a big one because again you need separate lotions for your body and face! Why oil free for your face? Because oil traps dirt and clogs your pores, which can lead to a build up of acne! Your body naturally produces oil to try and keep your face hydrated and moisturized. Using an oil free moisturizer can actually reduce the amount of natural oil your body feels it needs to produce. Which means that proper moisturizer can help reduce the presence of acne on your face! #3 - Oil Free Moisturizer....With Suncreen Product Used: Neutrogena - https://amzn.to/2jw2qqf Yes you should have two different moisturizers, one for the evening and one for the start of your day that protects your skin from the sun. The last thing you need is to look like a leather glove more and more as you age. I recommend an SPF of around 30-35 for moderate sun exposure throughout the day. #4 - Pore Strips Product Used: Biore - https://amzn.to/2HWFzPf Pore strips can help you keep control of the blackheads that tend to build up right around your nose. The nose often gets overlooked in general when it comes to mens skin care and grooming. If you're going on a date or you're planning on being up close and personal with anyone keep a handle on those blackheads! #5 - A Water Soluble Hair Product Product Used: Byrd - https://amzn.to/2wgTcav If you're not using a product that rinses out with relative ease in the shower you're going suffer from product build up. Product build up usually means you'll need to shampoo everyday. Which is the last thing you want to do because it dries out the hair! So inspect the products you're using and try to find one for your specific hair type that is water soluble. #6 - Sulfate Free Shampoo Sulfate is the biggest ingredient to avoid if you want to protect your hair in the long run. Next to sulfate I have two other ingredients i personally try to avoid, propylene glycol, and "fragrance". Product Used: Coconuts Shampoo - http://bit.ly/2I0ouUs #7 - Argan Oil Argan oil is a great additional source of moisture for your hair. Conditioner is great but can only do so much alone. So I would recommend you use a small amount of Argan oil after you've cleaned your hair. This will help you maintain that natural sheen and texture. Product Used: Argan Oil - https://amzn.to/2rtLSmD #8 - Vent Brush I couldn't find a link to the brush I always use so I'm not going to put a link here. The last thing I want to do is add a product link to something I haven't reviewed myself. Basically the vents in the brush help the hair dry faster which provides you with a great deal of styling flexibility. However, it also means you can spend less time applying heat to your hair. Finally par the vent brush with a quality blow dryer and you're good to go! How to Tie a Scarf | 4 Ways For Men to Tie Their Scarves
How to Tie a Scarf For Men Welcome back, guys! Today I'm going to give you the 4 main ways I like to tie my scarf. Scarves might seem like an intimidating item to fashionably blend into your outfit but once you know a couple different ways to tie them it becomes much more approachable. Scarves are very good for introducing an additional color or even another pattern to an outfit. Incorporating a scarf helps you also achieve a rather sophisticated look even if it's on a more casual men's outfit. #1 - The Drape (0:27) This is the easiest and probably one of the most common choices. The drape is simply allowing the scarf to "drape" over your neck. There is no knot or wrap involved at all. The only thing you want to keep in mind is a rather even length on both sides. You'll also want to make sure you tuck your scarf into your jacket, not only for the additional warmth but also to make sure your scarf isn't flying around freely during a windy day. #2 - The European Knot aka The Loop (0:51) This is a very great knot to start with when you're just learning to tie a men's scarf. You simply fold your scarf in half and then place it around your neck. Pull the scarf tails through the loop you just created from folding the scarf and then tighten the knot and you're done! Again this is one I like to tuck under my jacket because I think the top portion of the knot looks very clean. However, you're more than welcome to rock this knot without tucking your scarf I've seen men do just that and it still looks fantastic. #3 - The Wrap (1:52) The wrap requires you to essentially use some of the principles you've learned from tiring your tie. You start with one side longer than the other. I recommend two thirds the length of your scarf on one side and one third on the other side. Then cross the longer side of your scarf over the shorter side and around the back of your neck. The tails of your scarf should now be relatively even in length up front. #4 - The Bib (2:24) This is one of my favorites next to the European knot. You'll want to start with the scarf draped around your neck even on both sides of your body. Then cross one side over the other and pull bring it up through the loop that is now by your neck. Tighten the knot you're creating to a comfortable point and then allows the front tail to lay flat as you adjust it to your liking. this scarf borrows some concepts that are traditionally used when tieing a knot into your tie! 4 Different Ways To Wear Your Suit (AND LOOK GREAT) 🔥
What's up guys! Today I'm going to give you four different ways you can wear the various elements of your suit! Because one suit can actually help you create a bunch of different outfits that are suitable for a variety of different occasions! Suit: http://bit.ly/2IP2Umi Double Monks: https://amzn.to/2xeSmeZ These are the exact same style of shoe I love to wear this particular link takes you to a show that is just slightly darker than what I'm wearing in the video. Casual White Sneakers: http://bit.ly/2xfwRLj Outfit #1 - Swap Your Suit Pants For Jeans Just changing out your suit pants for jeans will dress down the outfit but you'll still look incredibly well put together. With an outfit like this I would recommend wearing darker wash jeans and brown leather shoes. Outfit #2 - A Striped Shirt & White Fashion Sneakers You can wear white sneakers with literally any suit. You can also throw in a casual shirt that compliments the colors of your suit very well. Outfit #3 - A V-Neck Sweater And Suit Pants Now you can keep the pants from your suit and swap out the jacket for a nice sweater. You'll also notice that I'm still using the white sneakers as well. This pairing is incredibly stylish and very simple to put together. Outfit #4 - A Polo And Suit Pants Literally the only difference here is you swapped your sweater for a polo! One item of clothing changed but it gave you a completely different outfit appropriate for the hotter weather in the spring and summer! Music by: https://soundcloud.com/lakeyinspired/... Meal Prepping For Beginners: Recipes That Save You Time And Money!
What's Up Guys! Today I'm starting s video series on meal prep ideas you can use to meal prep as a beginner! Meal prepping saves you so much money and keeps you on track for the type of results you're looking for. Ingredients - Bag of Frozen Chicken - Bag of Frozen Broccoli - Banza Angel Hair Chickpea Pasta Cooking Instructions Chicken Lay the chicken on the tray that's been covered with foil. Next cover the chicken with oil and make sure to spread the oil around evenly. Also, if you use your hands when handling the chicken at all like I did make sure you wash IMMEDIATELY. Now we season the chicken and you can use what ever seasoning sounds appealing to you. don't be afraid to experiment with the seasoning either, it's the only place you get to add some diversity in terms of flavor. You can cook the chicken however you want skillet, grill, or oven...which ever! I like using my small convection oven because it makes the cleanup process incredibly simple. Most of the time I just have to let the tray cool and then remove the foil and I'm done. Cook time varies depending on how you're cooking the chicken, if the chicken is completely thawed, and the thickness of each individual cut. Generally I place it in the oven and return to check on it after about 10 minutes. Pasta Chickpea pasta cooks faster than traditional pasta so you're looking at a cook time of around 4-5 minutes max. Its best to get the water up to a rolling boil before you add the pasta as well. If you go with this specific brand make sure you pick up the Angel Hair pasta. I accidentally picked up the linguine one time and it turns into almost a paste very quickly. Broccoli You can throw this in with the chicken after the chicken is mostly cooked. However, as of late I've enjoyed popping it into the microwave with a little bit of water to help steam broccoli. You can also choose to add seasoning and oil to your veggies if you wish. It's incredibly easy to swap out the broccoli with mixed veggies anytime. Music by: https://soundcloud.com/lakeyinspired/... Men's Underwear Review: GAME CHANGING PRODUCT?
Men's Underwear Review What's up guys! Today we're taking a look a the dual pouch men's underwear from Separatec! They reached out to me with an email and asked if I would be willing to review their product if they sent it my way and I happily agreed. I'm not one to turn down the opportunity for additional content! The sent me three pairs from their bamboo rayon line last week. I wore them in a variety of different settings throughout the week to see how comfortable they were. I've never worn a pair of rayon boxer briefs before and I can now that they're exceptionally soft. However I do find micro modal fabric to be more comfortable. I know Separatec has their own line of micro modal boxer briefs as well though so I will link to them if you're interested. Micro Modal Boxer Briefs - https://amzn.to/2wuU4WT Outside of comfort, I do give a clear advantage to the rayon line from Separatec when it comes to moisture absorption. I'm at the gym most days of the week and I found that rayon does a great job of maintaining airflow and keeping everything relatively dry. In terms of quality, I felt like the product was on par as far as material and stitching with every other premium brand in this space. No loose stitching very clean design and aesthetics. The Actual pouch system that I'm sure everyone is very interested in is actually very effective. I thought for sure it would be uncomfortable having any type of separation throughout the day. It was the complete opposite, by midday I had completely forgotten that I was wearing a pair of boxer briefs with separate pouches. I've seen other dual pouch underwear before but Separatec does claim to have "Patented dual pouch technology" meaning that their design is unique to them. One piece of feedback I do have for them though is specific to the packaging design. It's premium no doubt, however, I feel like their design elements could better communicate the type of product you're about to unbox. It almost felt like I was unboxing some type of software or anti virus to install on my computer. 6 Things Men Should Do to Prepare For a Date
What's up guys! Today I'm going to give you 6 things men absolutely need to do when preparing for a date! #1 - Check Your Nose Hairs This is an easy one to miss but a quick and easy one to spot. I've been on dates that I thought went very well only to return home and find a ver large nose hair curled right outside my nose. You can assume I spent the rest of the night wondering how long it was there instead of sleeping. My Nose Hair Trimmer - https://amzn.to/2LpiRAJ #2 - Clean Your Ears Picture this....you've had a wonderful evening so far...you're staring deep into each others eyes and then....she sees it. A piece of wax starts falling right out of your ear. 😱 So hop in the shower before your date and take a regular wash loth and clean the exterior of your ear well. That should take care of any wax looking to find its way out in the evening. Don't stick anything in your ear canal you'll only jam wax in there and create a whole separate problem. #3 - Prep For Perspiration No like I said in the video I used to get very nervous before going on a date. When you're nervous you naturally tend to perspire more aggressively. So there are two big things you can do here. - Use an antiperspirant No an antiperspirant is not the same thing as deodorant. Deodorant masks odor while antiperspirant manages the level of actual perspiration. Articles On Antiperspirant The Final Word on Whether Antiperspirant is Safe - http://bit.ly/2Lr3ZBZ WebMD - https://wb.md/2M0Ec4B Should I Stop Using Antiperspirant? - http://bit.ly/2Hm2nHe - A Sweat Proof Undershirt https://amzn.to/2Lmu59e The best shirt in the category in easily the Thompson Tee. There is a patented sweat proof material right around the arm pit that not only prevents the moisture from seeping through but also allows the moisture to evaporate. So you don't have to worry about any sweat stains showing up on your shirt during your evening out. My recommendation -- https://amzn.to/2Lmu59e #4 - Bring Gum Not MINTS! Gum....the reason I think gum is better than a mint is because you'll have gum in your mouth longer. Meaning you should get a cleaner fresher smell and feel. Also, I've definitely had friends complain about excessive mintyness when kissing. So try and get that gum into your mouth for at least 30 minutes before so it has time to settle. #5 - Don't Go Overboard With Cologne The last thing your date needs is to smell you before you've even picked her up! So mist the air in front of you and walk through the mist. I promise you this is one of those "less is more" situations. #6 - Clean Your Car Don't show up on a date with a dirty car! ESPECIALLY if you're picking your date up. She just spent the evening getting ready and you stroll up in a dirt covered ride with laundry in the back seat? No sir! If you don't have time to clean it yourself take it somewhere and get the interior and exterior cleaned ASAP. 7 Essential Shirts For Every Man's Wardrobe
7 Essential Shirts For Every Man's Wardrobe What's up guys today I'm giving you my top picks for seven of the most essential shirts for men! All of the shirts on this list are meant to give you plenty of creative flexibility when you're putting an outfit together. #1 - The Dress Shirt Every man needs a quality dress shirt he can wear when the occasion arises. There are loads of dress shirts out there for you to choose from however I recommend starting with the classics like white or light blue. Those two colors will work on most occasions and almost all the outfits you put together. Outside of color, you'll also want to get your dress shirts tailored so they conform to the natural shape of your body better. A loos and baggy dress shirt like most other clothing items that don't fit you properly can make you look a bit chaotic. #2 - The Oxford Button - Down Shirt Oxford's mimic dress shirts in some ways however they're more casual and more breathable. They're also referred to as "button-downs" because of the buttons on the collar of the shirt. Also, even though I said more casual you do have the option to dress an oxford shirt up to a certain extent. Something like dark blue jeans with a leather belt and leather shoes all tied together with a tucked in Oxford button-down shirt is closer to the upper end of the casual scale. #3 - Solid Color T-Shirt A solid color t-shirt gives you lots of styling options with different outfits. The three foundational colors are white, grey, and black and my personal recommendation is to start with grey before anything else. I say grey because grey hides signs of daily wear very well while contrasting most items on an outfit in a more relaxed way than black and white. #4 - Denim Shirt As I said in the video I struggled when deciding between chambray and denim for the essentials list. However, I did finally settle on denim because of how much I appreciate the weight and texture of a true denim shirt. I would also encourage you to experiment with rocking denim from top to bottom. That used to be a classic style mistake, however, now it's become a very acceptable style choice. I just don't see too many men rocking that type of look and I'm not 100% sure why. It's something that all men can pull off with the right combination of color and material! #5 - Flannel Shirt First things first let's clarify a very common men's fashion misunderstanding. Flannel is referring to the fabric of the shirt and plaid is referring to the pattern. These shirts are very comfortable very warm usually very vibrant additions to every mans wardrobe. #6 - Casual Short Sleeve Shirt This was a style of shirt that historically you didn't see that often. Short sleeve shirts like this were generally reserved for uniforms in specific lines of work so understandable most men wouldn't wear something work-related in a casual setting. However, today most larger brands have adopted the classic short sleeve shirt into what they offer and I'm very happy they have. These shirts are excellent for the spring and summer they're usually very lightweight and breathable and they're also very fun! They come in a HUGE range of pattern and color and most of the simple designs (like the shirt I showed you in the video) lend themselves well to most outfits. #7 - Polo Shirt So.....I admit that every man should have a polo shirt in his wardrobe. I just want people to know there's a reason I put it last on my list. I don't find them to be as flexable as everything else on this list. I also have an issue with the collars curling after a few washes. I think these shirts are perfect for a more casual office environement and they're less of a hassel than a dress shirt but I still think the other shirts on this list will give you more flexability than the men's polo shirt. 10 Great Style Accessories For Men
10 Great Style Accessories For Men What's up guys today I'm going to give you my personal list of favorites when it comes to style accessories for men. I felt like the timing was good I picked up some gift cards over the holiday and you can bet I'll be using them to pick up some quality accessories for men! #1 - A Good Cologne A good cologne is one of the many things that aren't visible on your men's outfit. However, it has an impact on how people are receiving your presence. In this video, I chose to go with Aqua Di Gio by Armani. I'm not a fan of the Armani brand in general however I really love this cologne. Aqua Di Gio - https://amzn.to/2H0sAA4 #2 - Sunglasses As I said in the video my preference has always been ray bans. When it comes to mens sunglasses the Clubmaster and the Wayfarer provide a good amount of structure and shape to virtually any face shape. #3 - Watch Next, we have a versatile watch, something that can be worn in most casual environments and some semi-formal/formal environments. I chose to highlight the Waterbury from Timex. During an online sale Timex was having on their website I managed to pick this watch up for right around $80. Which given the quality of this entry point watch is a fantastic deal. My Timex Watch = http://bit.ly/2FgyImf I would say that Timex does a fantastic job providing the best balance between quality and value. They also have a great selection of those minimalist watches that are incredibly popular right now. #4 - Messenger Bag Messenger bags were "all the rage" a while back I would say but I don't believe that they're any less popular than they were. I still love wearing mine with most casual outfits. I carry my laptop with me throughout most of the day and I need something that's not too bulky to keep everything with me. my Favorite Messenger Bags - https://amzn.to/2RlvLqX #5 - Pocket Squares This is one of those accessories that are not widely used even though it's more than appropriate to use in a variety of situations. I have a few different pocket squares and this one, in particular, is great for most casual settings. It's important to be aware of the fabric when you're deciding if your pocket square is acceptable for a formal or casual environment. #6 - Scarves Number six is a scarf and I know these are more confined to the fall and winter but they're still an essential accessory for every man. Scarves are not just functionally useful but they're also capable of adding an additional element to your outfit. Very similar to the pocket square a scarf can add an additional pattern, texture, and color into the mix. #7 - Bracelets I've really started embracing bracelets but I haven't started exploring rings or necklaces very much just yet. This bracelet here is from Craighill and it was a good value and reasonable price point for me to start my collection of bracelets. Craighill Bracelet - https://amzn.to/2LZGjG9 #8 - A Brown Leather Belt Everyone should have a belt in their closet, but not everyone has a light brown leather belt. This particular belt is from Anson belts and I love this belt for two main reasons. My Anson Belt - https://amzn.to/2AG4UeJ #9 - Collar Stays I love my collar stays I wear dress shirts quite often for work so I like to have a very firm collar. I think it's one of the more prominent details of an outfit I wear quite often. I like to use Wurkin Stiffs now (not sponsored) they're very high quality and you never need to replace them...like...ever. With leather Pouch - https://amzn.to/2M1Vq22 Less Expensive - https://amzn.to/2C8JQ0o Other Alternatives - https://amzn.to/2TBHb6r Remember that the details of an outfit can all add up to a substantial impact on the overall presentation of your outfit. #10 - Shirt Stays Shirt stays are another one that can't be visibly seen but the effect they can have on your overall outfit is very visible. I usually wear mine for meetings or formal events. They're not incredibly comfortable but they work incredibly well. Currently, I'm testing out KK and Jay shirt stays ($30) https://amzn.to/2LZpmeY Other alternatives - https://amzn.to/2VDGYBv ________________________ DISCLAIMER Some of the links above are affiliate links, where I earn a small commission if you click on the link and purchase an item. 5 Mistakes Men Make in The Shower
Today we're talking about some common mistakes most men are making in the shower. #1 - Water That's Too Hot Showering in water that's too hot will dry out your skin and hair immediately. It can also increase your blood flow which contributes to skin irritation and rashes. Try to shower in lukewarm water instead to preserve the natural oil your body uses to hydrate your skin and hair. #2 - Overly Harsh Products It's not just the temperature of the water that can dry out your skin and your hair. You could also be causing problems with the products you're choosing to use. I mentioned a video where I covered some of the specific ingredients I look to avoid when I'm picking up a new shampoo or body wash you can find that video here - https://youtu.be/98suUAh90W4 My current favorites come from this Go Nuts For Coco Nut Brand I stumbled across. Check it out here - https://amzn.to/2pkELfg Their products contain no sulfates what so ever, they're color safe, and the fragrance is derived from all natural ingredients as well. I've also been testing out a new body was from the Dove men's line. Generally speaking, I avoid Dove men's products because they can be guilty of having harsh ingredients. However, I've been pleasantly surprised with their extra foaming body wash so far! Check it out here - https://amzn.to/2pkaHk5 #3 - You're Treating Your Conditioner Like Shampoo (Part A) You need to give your conditioner AT LEAST 3-5 minutes to restore some of the moisture you just stripped from your hair. If you're washing it out immediately it's doing little (if any) rehydrating at all. Because you need to leave your conditioner in so long I also recommend shampooing and conditioning at the immediate start of your shower to help keep your overall shower time as brief as possible. #3 - You're shampooing Daily (Part B) There is no need to shampoo every day, all that does is dry out your hair and make it almost impossible to achieve the type of style you're after. The only reason you might need to shower every day is that you're using a product that isn't water soluble. Meaning it requires shampoo to completely remove the product form your hair. I recommend shampooing every other day instead of and switching over to a product that rinses out with relative ease. #4 - Avoiding Cold Water Warm water opens your pores and can damage your hair. Cold water can actually tighten your pores, making it more difficult for oil and dirt to get in there and clog them up. It can also contract your hair cuticle which helps your hair better retain moisture and structure while also helping it better reflect light. All of which gives it a more radiant and natural-looking glow throughout the day. #5 - Moisturizing Technically this one is out of the shower....BUT! You're forgetting to moisturize after your shower. Even if you're bringing the temperature of the water down you're still presumably exfoliating (which is good) and that process also strips moisture away from your body. So you need to moisturize with two different lotions. One for your face and one for your body. I recommend finding an oil-free moisturizer for your face so you don't have to worry about it clogging your pores. I use Neutrogena Sensitive Skin - https://amzn.to/2ro2xHT And I also have a version of this same oil-free lotion for the mornings that contains SPF. Video Mentioned Men's Skin & Hair Care - https://youtu.be/98suUAh90W4 Products Mentioned Current Favorite Conditioner - https://amzn.to/2pkELfg Men's Dove Foaming Body Wash - https://amzn.to/2pkaHk5 Neutrogena Sensitive Skin - https://amzn.to/2ro2xHT Oil-Free Moisturizer With SPF - https://amzn.to/2jw2qqf Hair Product - https://amzn.to/2wgTcav ________________________ DISCLAIMER Some of the links above are affiliate links, where I earn a small commission if you click on the link and purchase an item. MEN'S SPRING LOOKBOOK | 5 outfits for the Spring Season
Hey Guys! I'm incredibly happy with the positive feedback I received from the first men's lookbook I made! I hope you guys enjoy this one just as much :D The center of focus in this video is men's spring attire. You have quite a bit of flexibility with everything I show you in the video. Also, just like the business casual video I'll give some focus to a few items that were used in a number of the outfits featured int he video. White high-top Vans and light wash distressed jeans 🙌 Probably one of the most versatile pairings out there. Admittedly the white vans can be a pain to keep clean. However, if you throw them in the washer regularly you should be fine. Just be sure to remove the shoe strings and let them air dry. If you throw them in the dryer it ruins the glue on the shoes. Outfit #1 - A Patterned Short Sleeve Shirt (Forever 21) Stripes and polk dots are great pattern choices but never be afraid to experiment with the types of patterns you're using. This outfit is also using a lot of blue and white which is a one of my favorite color combinations during the spring and summer as well. Blue and white is just a very versatile color combination. Outfit #2 - Floral Prints (Goouch) Floral prints always come back in style with the Spring and Summer! What's great about floral prints too is there are varying degrees of how "loud" they are. So regardless of how comfortable you are you should be able to find a floral print that works for your personally. Outfit #3 - Vibrant Colors (Nautica & Penguin) For outfit number three I'm rocking a bright Sonic blue shirt with coral (or salmon?) colored shorts. Topping the outfit off with white low-top vans. Literally everything on the outfit draws attention...and I love it. Outfit #4 - Contrasting Patterns (Tommy Hilfiger) Another really cool way to add dimension to your outfit is to use contrasting patterns. With this outfit I'm pairing a gingham button up with a polk dot tie. also instead of the distressed jeans I'm using darker wash jeans which elevates the level of casual compared to the first two outfits. So if you wanted to go out to a bar with some friends and look casual but still sophisticated I'd recommend and outfit like this. Outfit #5 - 3/4 Sleeve Shirts & Trucker Caps Spring and Summer doesn't mean you can't wear darker colors! The 3/4 sleeve shirt with distressed jeans and a trucker cap is a great combination. Again you'll notice I'm wearing the same shoes and same pants as the first two outfits but the the look and feel is completely different here. How Men Can Look Good On A Budget (8 Tips For Saving Money)
How Men Can Look Good On A Budget! Today we're breaking down 8 ways you can still look good without breaking the bank. Because the number one excuse I often hear is it's too expensive to pickup certain clothes. Or it's too expensive to worry about looking good. Which I have to respectfully disagree with there are plenty of place to shop on a budget and ways to save money in the process. You have to be a little creative with it and you have to know where to look that's all it is. Tip #1 - Check Out Consignment Store Consignment stores like Plato's Closet are incredibly useful for conserving your budget. I've found so many great things at consignment stores for under $10 it's insane! Now sometimes your selection might be minimal. Men don't seem participate in shopping or selling back to stores like Plato's closet as much as women do. However regardless of the sometimes limited section you'll have you can find some really good clothing at an absurd price. Tip #2 - Off-Price Retailers This is stores like Marshalls and TJ Maxx that offer an essentially random assortment of "off-price" clothing options. Usually you can find off season items and a what could be considered inconsistent sizes and options. However, while the options available at off-price retailers may be inconsistent you can find a great deal with a little digging. So I recommend swinging by regularly because you might catch a great brand on sale. Tip #3 - DIY ( Do It Yourself) You can distress clothing yourself or make small adjustments on your own to create a look that is very similar to clothing selling for upwards of $100 retail. There are a number of videos here on YouTube that give you ways to adjust clothing yourself. I myself am planning on releasing a video on how I like to distress my own jeans to help illustrate this point! Tip #4 - Ditch The Branding/Logo You can find the same quality at Forever21 as you can over at Hugo Boss. I know that might sound like a crazy statement but it's true the clothing items are made from the same material the only difference is the markup for the visibility of a long time brand. There is nothing wrong with giving up the visibility of a logo to save money and still maintain a stylish wardrobe. Tip #5 - Online Shopping (JackThreads, ASOS) There are plenty of places I like to shop (list below) online for amazing deals! Not having to go thorough a physical retailer saves some companies a a lot of money. Which allows them to offer you discounts some brick and mortar places don't traditionally offer. My List of Favorites Jack Thread - https://jackthreads.com/ ASOS - http://us.asos.com/men/ SurfStich - https://www.surfstitch.com/sale/mens/clothing UNIQLO - https://www.uniqlo.com/ Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Men-Clothing/ Tip #6 - Browser Extensions That Save You Money Honey - joinhoney.com/ref/mdyp27 Piggy - https://www.joinpiggy.com/#sidojofr Heads up these two links are my personal links if you decide to use honey and use my personal link I get a small commission. If you'd like to support my channel feel free to use the link :] Tip #7 - Buying In The Off Season It's common sense that demand for sweaters goes down in the Summer and demand for tank tops goes down in the Winter. Retailers are in a hurry to sell off left over stock from the season that have passed so they can make room for upcoming seasons and new lines of clothing. So you can snag a really good deal if you're willing to wait a couple months to wear what you pickup. Tip #8 - Small Alterations go a Long Way Like I said I've met plenty of guys who already had some really good wardrobes. The only thing holding them back from looking way better was the fit! It's actually pretty affordable to get clothes altered by a tailor. Make sure you read the reviews of your local tailor because there are plenty out there who will leave you worse off than you entered. Clothing Care For Men - How Often Should You Wash Your Clothes?
Clothing Care For Men - How Often Should You Wash Your Clothes? Today we're going to talk about clothing care for men and how often men should wash the different elements of their wardrobe. Washing your clothes is obviously a necessity, however, it's very common for men to overwash which can result in quicker color fading as well as deterioration of the fabric. Athletic Wear I typically like to wash athletic wear after one use (in an athletic setting). If you're wearing sweats throughout the day casually you can probably get away with a couple wears before washing. Specifically, in the context of sweating while working out don't try and extend how many times you wear those clothes. Have you ever had a guy walk up next to you at the gym and smell terrible? That's probably not the first time he's been sweating in what he's wearing. The odor lingers and definitely draws attention so please don't put yourself through that. Business Attire This is where I'll cover suits and dress shirts suits you can get away wearing around 4 - 5 times before you take them to the dry cleaners. This does depend a bit on how much you layer. Typically you'll have a dress shirt and an undershirt all sitting under that suit jacket which should be enough to help absorb most of the moisture. Casual Attire So most casual attire like henleys and t-shirts I wear one to two times MAYBE 3 times max depending on how long I wore that particular clothing item throughout the day. I also don't mind when most casual items of clothing look more worn if they're quality they won't fall apart they'll just look a bit more worn in and faded. I personally like that look I feel like it gives the clothing a bit more character if anything. Denim Denim is a very big exception to that range denim you should try to wash as infrequently as possible. In this video, I focused on prewashed denim as opposed to raw denim. If you guys would like to see a full video on the differences between the two and how to care for each then leave a comment down below! MUSIC By: https://soundcloud.com/lakeyinspired/... Men's Subscription Box Review | Sprezzabox Unboxing
Men's Subscription Box Review | Sprezzabox Unboxing Welcome to the first mens subscription box review on this channel gentleman! Today we're taking a look at Sprezzabox a monthly service that provides you 5-6 handpicked items all meant to elevate your level of style. Now, first things first you're looking at a monthly subscription price of $28 or an annual subscription price of $300. Which breaks down to $25 a month and I personally don't think that's a big enough incentive for me to choose an annual plan. I discussed the time line for my experience with Sprezza as well in the video if you're interested in that. [ 0:30 ] Now let's break down the individual items that I received in this months box! #1 - Weekend Casual Sox - https://www.weekendcasual.com/ Loved these sox right out of the gate, the micro dot pattern is fun and subtle. These sox are 64% cotton so there may be slight shrinking but nothing too drastic. All around a really cool item that lends itself to virtually any outfit you choose to go with. #2 - The Original Penguin Tie - https://www.originalpenguin.com/ Loved this tie and like I've said it other videos this floral print is very in tune with the spring and summer season. I consider Original Penguin to be a pretty high quality brand as well so I was extremely pleased to find this. #3 - Pink Oxford Stripe Pocket Square - http://bit.ly/2k2P0Ch This was a Sprezza exclusive that can also be found on their website. The colors are again very appropriate for the season and add a nice splash of contrasting color to any solid color suit jacket you wear this spring. #4 - Shea Moisture 4 in 1 All - Over Wash - https://amzn.to/2wIeJsW In all honesty I'm usually quite skeptical of 2 in 1 or 4 in 1 wash products. However, I am familiar with this brand and I appreciate the chemicals they focus on removing from their shampoos and body washes. So I'll hold off on my judgement with this one, I'm going to go ahead and give it the trial it deserves and I'll let you guys know how I like it! #5 - Bracelet From I.M. Man - https://imman.com.au/ This is a men's bracelet from an Australian based brand that's known traditionally for its anchor bracelets. Their website appears to be currently down but I appreciated the quality of the bracelet. Just like every other fashion accessory or accent item in this box it can be worn with almost any outfit you pair it with. #6 - Business Card Holder Finally we had a matte black business card holder that was another Sprezzabox exclusive. Questions? Comments? Concerns?! Leave a comment below! Also, I would love to review more services and possibly compare Sprezzabox to your suggestions to let me know if you'd like to see a video on anything specific and I'll make it happen! Men's Fall Fashion Trends For 2018
Men's Fall Fashion Trends For 2018 What's up guys today I'm giving you a list of some of my favorite upcoming men's fall fashion trends. This video isn't as detailed as it could have possibly been I'm testing the waters with this type of content to see if it's something that you guys might be interested in moving forward. The first thing I want to look at is some of the most prominent colors you'll come across every fall. I gave you guys an example color palette in the video of browns, reds, oranges, and yellows that almost always come back into style with the fall/autumn season. Colors that took center stage a number of fashion shows this past year were a darker shade of brown as well as vibrant reds and oranges. I'm planning on incorporating the darker shades of brown predominantly with my pants and shoes. I would love to find a longer trench coat style jacket in this color as well. Something similar to this coat from Fendi https://www.fendi.com/gb/man/new-arrivals/p-FF0252A51EF0QB8 just.. not almost $1900..... My Favorite Trends? There's way more than just the three trends I covered in this video and maybe I'll make a part two to cover more of them. However, here I'll be breaking down 3 of the trends I'm most excited about. #1 - Windbreakers I love the more "tactical" style jackets and I love how creative they force you to be. I personally feel like it can be somewhat difficult to put an outfit together that compliments the jacket well. #2 - Padded Puffer Jackets These jackets are really cool because the volume of them is something you really don't see many men experiment with. The trend of very slim fit clothing it going the be challenged with jackets that add considerable volume to your outfit and I'm excited about that. #3 - Check Patterns I think a shirt like the one I showed you in the video is an absolute timeless classic. I would 100% recommend picking one up as a new staple point element of your men's wardrobe essentials. Here are some links to two of the articles I referenced in my video! 5 Tips to Make Every Outfit You Wear Look Better
Whats up guys! I put this video together in response to a question I hear occasionally. "What should you think of if you want to make each outfit look better?". It's a great question because the answers I thought of are all very foundational things I think of before I'm putting together each outfit. So today I'm giving you 5 tips for making every outfit you wear LOOK BETTER. #1 - Add Contrast This one is arguably the most important one on the list for me personally. I'm usually looking to incorporate three colors into my outfit as a base and I would like those items to contrast each other well. Contrast draws the eyes attention, it helps you create an outfit that's more commanding and captivating. #2 - Fitted Clothing The next thing that came to mind was a proper fit! Clothing that doesn't fit you well does not flatter the perceived proportions of your body. For example.... If your jeans are too baggy they can make your legs look shorter than they are while making your torso look longer than it is. I feel like the most common reason for men shying away from fitted clothing is that they believe it's going to look to small or feel uncomfortable. Which I can totally understand but I'm here to tell you now that fitted clothing should be comfortable to wear. If it's not comfortable the fit is 100% wrong. #3 - Eliminate Wrinkles Now for some of you, this one might be an obvious one. However, I've seen plenty of men leave the house with a shirt or pants that are very wrinkled. It's not part of the grunge style and there isn't an excuse for it because there are plenty of things you can do outside of ironing to make your outfit look more presentable. My Garment Steamer - https://amzn.to/2Edt7M2 My Iron - https://amzn.to/2PtWSKF #4 - Take Care of Your Shoes. The shoes can get overlooked WAY TOO OFTEN. Your shoes have a huge impact on the overall presentation of your outfit. So spend the proper amount of time and money to take care of your shoes. Polish your brown and black dress shoes regularly. If you have canvas shoes invest in some Kiwi shoe protectant. Kiwi Shoe Protectant - https://amzn.to/2QnDILv Here's a link to that article I mention in the video! https://www.realsimple.com/beauty-fashion/clothing-care/how-to-clean-white-shoes #5 - Fix That Placket The placket is the term used to refer to the opening in the upper portion of a garment. So basically where you would secure your buttons on your shirt. This part of your shirt can become less structured and a quick and easy way to add a little more polish and refinement to your outfit is to restructure your placket Starch - https://amzn.to/2UzTt0k My Iron - https://amzn.to/2PtWSKF Generally, I'm against using starch on my dress shirt when I take them to get dry cleaned because it can wear them down a bit more. However, I'm more than fine using a small amount of starch to add a more rigid hold to the shirt placket. MUSIC By: https://soundcloud.com/lakeyinspired/... Hair Products For Men: Lockhart's Matte Clay (Review)
Hair Products For Men: Lockhart's Matte Clay What's up guys welcome back to the channel today we're doing a review on Lockhart's medium hold matte clay! If you guys enjoy the video be sure to hit that subscribe button :D Pickup Lockhart's Matte Clay - https://amzn.to/2JC6Ms6 *The product has dipped in price since recording this video* Now let's break down the product The Packaging (0:13) Overall not incredibly premium product packaging but I would say that it's more premium than the other products I've reviewed on this channel so far. There are some unique design elements to it and I certainly appreciated that. The Ingredients (0:49) There are three standout ingredients that really impact how this product works with your hair. The first of which is beeswax which to me indicates that the product will have a relatively smooth application. You'll also find kaolin on the list and that's a very common ingredient in clays that are responsible for helping the product add texture to your hair so it's always a welcome ingredient. Finally, lavender oil is a standout ingredient because you can actually faintly smell lavender when you're applying the product. Application (1:25) The product feels quite tough at first but it breaks down very well and warms up easily. I was surprised given the texture and thickness of this clay with how easily it warmed up in my hands. Some products take anywhere from 10 - 15 seconds to warm up properly and this was not the case here. Styling (1:57) When applying as always I apply from the back moving forward and then from the forward moving back. While it applies to the hair easily it does take some time before you can get the product to style exactly how you want it to. It's not quite as responsive as I would've liked. Eventually, I'm usually able to get it to shape how I want but it does take some patience. Finish (2:54) There's a very slight natural looking shine this product it's not 100% matte but very very close. Typically when you're picking up matte products your goal is to find a product that's not going to make your hair look overly greasy and oily. A true matte finish is nice however a natural looking shine is more than acceptable as well. MUSIC By: https://soundcloud.com/lakeyinspired/... Men's Fall Outfits: 4 Stylish Outfits For The Season
Men's Fall Outfits What's up guys! Today I'm giving you four stylish men's fall outfits for the season. I love fall more than any other season specifically with respect to men's fashion. There's just so much possibility when you're able to layer different elements together. Outfit #1 - A Padded Jacket & Brown Chinos This is a very casual outfit that incorporates two of the "trendy" items I spoke about in the "Men's Fall Fashion Trends" video I put out a couple weeks back (https://youtu.be/FrtcoM5rNo8). The padded jacket and brown chinos are both very much in style this fall and the two I picked up for this video are very versatile and casual. Grey and white are the supporting colors here and they're also incredibly versatile. Outfit #2 - A Bomber Jacket & Chukka Boots The outfit appears similar here at first glance because I kept grey and brown as the primary color scheme. However to elevate how formal this outfit feels I swapped the t-shirt for a grey wool v-neck sweater and I swapped the vans for a pair of black chukka boots. Then to go one step further I added a bomber jacket which will ALWAYS be a classic fall men's fashion item. This one is a bit unique because the sleeves are a "leather-like" material and the body of the jacket is not. Experimenting with contrasting colors is great but also experimenting with different fabrics and textures is a great way to add personal flair to your outfit. Outfit #3 - A Hoddie & Fall High Tops This is another great casual outfit that pairs two very safe colors (blue and white) together. The point of pairing these "safe" colors is to really highlight the most unique item which are these vans that in my opinion are the epitome of men's fall fashion. You'll also notice by looking a bit closer at the hoodie that there is a very subtle texture being added. Which gives this hoodie a slightly more unique flair than a more traditional one. Outfit #4 - Checks & Black Chinos Something that was very much present on this year's runway was the classic check pattern. I went with a red and black color combination since red was one of the other colors (outside of brown) that was expected to be very trendy this year. I also kept the brown vans since I felt like the worked with the outfit but if you wanted to go with a "safer" pairing you could easily have used the white high top Vans as well. Men's Fashion - Reviewing & Responding to Posts
Men's Fashion - Reviewing & Responding to Posts What's up guys! Today I'm going to be showing you some great posts I found on the male fashion advice thread over on Reddit. Just to clarify I did ask for each person's permission before I decided to include them here in this video. You can submit for the next video through my Twitter or Instagram if you're interested! My Instagram - http://bit.ly/2witGi3 My Twitter - http://bit.ly/2DxoblI Subreddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/ You'll also find the link to the male fashion advice subreddit if you'd like to contribute to it! It's a great community and I would highly encourage you to be a part of it. Outfit #1 - What Color Goes With This Jacket? For the first outfit, we're going to be taking a look at a jacket this gentleman picked up from Nordstrom Rack. This is a light brown color and a very lightweight jacket. As I said in the video black, grey, white, red and even blue would probably all pair with this relatively well. One personal recommendation I had was to change the shoes. I just personally like making my shoes a more standout element on my outfits. It doesn't mean the black (chinos or jeans?) with the black vans don't go together. It's just that using contrast is almost always going to work out in your favor. Outfit #2 - Is This Jacket too Short? Short answer? No, I don't believe so I believe it's a top coat actually and top coats traditionally sit in a weird spot in terms of coat length. They're longer than most coats that sit at your waistline but shorter than most other overcoats that would usually go past your knee's Topcoats usually go great over a suit but they can also be dressed down with something like chinos for example. Overall a very stylish very versatile coat that every man should certainly own. Outfit #3 - Is This Jacket Color ok? Yes! I really like the color of this jacket and I would also say the fit is solid too. This color is very versatile and I can see it pairing very well with a lot of different men's clothing items. I do want to point out though that I'm seeing a very common pattern of taking very neutral colors and pairing them together very consistently. I would encourage you to try and think about how you can add more contrast and character to your outfits in the future You can do it with one item too and I'll give you an example. You could swap the black jeans for a lighter wash distressed pair of jeans. That would both contrast the jacket and shirt better. As well as add some more character to the outfit due to the added element of something distressed. Outfit #4 - Do These Shoes Work? So first I would like to say is this is a great outfit and I would also like to commend you on looking for a way to incorporate casual fashion sneakers into it. However, in this specific case, I would say the fashion sneakers are just a bit too casual in nature to compliment the overall vibe of this outfit. I would consider swapping them for a pair of Chelsea boots or chukkas. I also think black would be a great color here and would look great next to the brown chinos you've currently got on. My Current Bicep and Tricep Workout: Training to Failure
Hey Guys! Right off the bat here's the video from Jeff Cavaliere over at Athlean X that I picked this workout up from. I highly encourage you to check out his channel if you're looking for some of the best workout routines out there. https://youtu.be/8fvT3sYfzLo Now then something I feel I didn't clarify enough in the video is the structure of this workout. There are four total exercises that you'll be executing to failure. - Inclined Dumbbell Bicep Curl - Standing Tricep Kickbacks OR Overhead Tricep Extensions - Isometric Bicep Chin Curl - Cobra Pushup Now you're going to pair the inclined dumbbell bicep curl with the kickbacks and go back and fourth between the two exercises hitting failure until you can't do anymore reps of either. So I started with 40 pound dumbbells did 12 reps then moved on to kickbacks at 20 pounds and did 20 reps. Then WITHOUT REST I started the bicep curls again only being able to get 11 reps out (with the same weight). I hope that makes the structure more clear? Next you do the exact same structure pairing the bicep chin curls and the cobra pushups. Going to complete failure on all these exercises shouldn't take you forever. It take me about 12 minutes to tap out my arms completely in this video. In the original video it took Mr. Cavaliere 8 minutes so he was probably using a more ideal weight. You'll probably have to experiment with the weight you start with but no matter how heavy you go you should still be able to achieve failure. *DISCLAIMER* I'm not a professional trainer! I've spent a huge amount of time in the gym working with a lot of different coaches and trainers. However, I by no means consider myself an expert on the best workout routines for you as an individual. How To Get Started With Investing: The 2 Apps YOU NEED 🔥
What's up guys! Today I thought I would talk about something that I wish I knew about earlier in life and that's some fundamental principles when it comes to investing your income for the future. I was working really hard for my money at an early age but I had no idea how to invest it or the tools I could use to do so. Today there are a number of different investment apps for the average beginner investor. So I thought I would share with you some of the important lessons I've picked up in regards to investing and also show you two of my favorite apps to use when I'm managing and investing my finances. *Heads Up* The links below for Robinhood and Acorns are my personal referral links. If you are interested in signing up for these services and supporting my channel feel free to use my personal links. If you're not ok using these links no hard feelings I'd still like to thank you for watching the video! #1 - Robinhood - http://bit.ly/2LWlESh Robinhood is amazing, because prior to this app you needed to pay a fee before you could trade any of your stock. Which drove me insane!!! Now it's completely free to you as a user and the app itself is incredibly easy to use. If you want to read more about how Robinhood makes money here are some helpful links. How Does Robinhood Make Money? - Motley Fool: http://bit.ly/2HSqBJr - Support Center: http://bit.ly/2lfDO66 - Investopedia: http://bit.ly/2JDwmQK Why do I like Robinhood? The interface is incredibly straight forward for beginner investors. You have a list of the stocks you hold as well as a list of stocks your watching. As well as a chart up top displaying your portfolios performance over various time periods. #2 - Acorns - http://bit.ly/2ldzrIR Acorns does three amazing things for you automatically. First it will invest the spare change from every purchase you make with your linked card. Then it will allow you to set a recurring deposit (where the bulk of your growth will come from). Finally it will allow you to increase your portfolio value by using the services provided by a lot of the vendors you already use! Now admittedly the spare change feature (while cool) is definitely a good marketing tactic. You're not going to make enough of a return to retire on your spare change alone. The recurring investment is something I would highly encourage you setup if you want to meet/exceed your acorns portfolio projections. I started with $50 and was seeing a very moderate return but still a good return if your focus is on the long term. Also even using the most risky portfolio options I found myself getting a much better return in Robinhood trading on the open market. However having safer bets in your back pocket for occasions where the market is due for a correction is never a bad idea. Trendy Butler Review - Men 's Subscription Box
Trendy Butler Review Today we're taking a look at Trendy Butler, which has become a popular option in the Men's Subscription Box market. I'll be breaking down a few key points this is not just an unboxing video but rather, a comprehensive overview of their service. I'll include the timestamps here, in the comments below as well as in the video TIMESTAMPS Cost & Promotion: 0:33 The Style Profile: 1:31 My First Box: 4:47 I received a box with two items a button up short sleeve shirt and a pair of swim shorts. The shirt is from Passport which I did have trouble finding online so I was unable to confirm the total value of my box. However, I did find the brand for the swim shorts and those are from Vestige. Their swim shorts are usually priced at $88 on the brand's website. Vestige: https://www.vestigebrand.com/collections/swim Overall I would consider these stylish items that I can easily incorporate into my wardrobe. They're reasonably versatile as well. However, that being said I don't think I would wear these together I think I would pair these with different items that help balance out the design/pattern. For example, on the shirt, I would go with brown chinos or distressed light wash jeans. And for the swim shorts, I would probably choose a solid color shirt up top. These particular choices help create a more balanced outfit. I think this falls into a great place in the market of subscription box service now available to men. It's affordable and from what I've seen of the clothing options, you can expect quality additions to your wardrobe. I do think it's important however to have a foundation already in place before you use a subscription service like this. Things like a brown leather belt, quality dress shoes, a white oxford, a solid white t-shirt those are all essential items that I think you should have first before you pick up a subscription like this. This is not a good service to build your wardrobe from scratch from rather it's a service that compliments and existing foundation if that makes sense.
