WE M&P Compact (Toucan S) Review [Airsoft]

The first English spoken online review of the WE M&P Compact - a nice and cheap pistol that proved to me WE are improving. Still a little rough, but a well made GBB. Bought from Airsoft Global.

Custom GHK G5 'Integrally Suppressed' Overview [Airsoft]

22:09
A look at the GHK G5 I've spent the last few weeks putting together. I started with the basic GHK G5, and added the carbine kit, plus a 1J bolt to keep the FPS down. From there I installed an ICS CXP stock, modifying the gun so it retracts, and added a Gunfighter Mod 0 grip. This gun takes AR15 grips and stock tubes. I then modified the front end to take an integral supressor, which looks pretty cool, and added an Aimpoint T1. Internally, I've added an Azimuth Speed Rubber, and a TM hop rubber/bucking. Should make a nice CQB gun!

Tanaka Revolvers - 'Skirmishable'? Reloading & Shooting [Airsoft]

11:54
Tanakas are the best airsoft revolvers available by far, but how usable are they? Concerns over reloading are common, and they have a reputation of looking much better than they shoot. This video shows how easy it is to load them quickly, and how they have enough firepower to work as viable backups airsofting.

CYMA CM048s AKMS Review [Airsoft]

WE CP 'Classic Pistol' Walther P38 Review [Airsoft]

Another great value pistol from WE. I'm very impressed about WE's replication of the real gun's features, certainly more attention to detail than you get with most other GBB makers.

ASG/KJW CZ P09 DUTY Review Part 2 [Airsoft]

21:35
Part 2. The ASG/KJ Works P09 is a great example of rebranding done right. No ugly fake trademarks, no paragraphs about licensing written on the side of the gun, and most importantly, no extortionate price. The P09 offers exceptional value for money, I can't think of any other GBB that has so many features and displays such quality, for just £100/$100. ASG and KJW have done a fantastic job - the only negatives so far are the poor hop unit, which I have found a solution to, and the tenancy to fire weak shots occasionally, which seems to be down either the very strong mainspring, or the valve knocker. This probelm has now gone after some internal fiddling. Very much recommended, assuming you have some basic GBB knowledge to tinker and fix any internal issues. Externally though, it's far superior to a WE, any older KJW and even KWA.

KSC vz61 Škorpion Review (Taiwan Version) [Airsoft]

30:36
A review of the new KSC vz61 Škorpion Taiwan version. This review can also act as a reference point to the KWA version, which other than trademarks and marketing is essentially the same gun. This Taiwan version was bought in the UK from Airsoft Zone for the fair price of £189.99 (http://airsoftzone.co.uk/vz-61-scorpion-replica-gas-blow-back-ksc). Overall the Skorpion is an impressive little gun with solid build and performance. I still question whether it's as practical as a TM GBB in a CQB environment however, where it's bulky form might hinder use, and where you might not be able to take advantage of it's best feature - the crazy rate of fire.

Tokyo Marui SIG 552 Review [Airsoft]

20:18
A review of my oldest assault rifle in my collection, my TM SIG 552 AEG. Only shooting at 270 FPS but with a great ROF and trigger response, this gun is perfect for lightweight CQB (Only weighs a few KGs), or fast-moving Woodland skirmishes. Costs around £235 nowadays, but still worth every penny!

WE Mauser M712 GBB Review [Airsoft]

28:38
A review of the WE M712 gas pistol. I missed out a few things in the review, an important one being that the magazines are NOT compatible with any other Mauser, including the Marushin the gun is based on. Also excuse my incorrect terminology (at times), if I say slide I mean bolt.

Tokyo Marui Colt 1911 MkIV Series 70 Review [Airsoft]

24:38
Sorry for such a long video, guess I just had a lot to cover here. TM made a pretty good step forward here with a very nicely made 1911. The brushed blued steel finish and machine marks really put it up there with Tanaka and WAs special finish guns, even though it's less convincing once you pick it up. Fake wood is also probably the best in the business, and being a TM it shoots very well, the only real drawbacks being the thin magazines (only 26 BBs worth of gas, at best) and rather sluggish recoil/slide return, although these issues are true of most airsoft 1911s, so it can't be blamed on this particular model. Overall, very nice - they are very durable, so Green Gas is recommended. I use Guarder Gas for extra snap/kick, and TM 1911s can handle it fine, so forget the 'TMs can only take 134a/Duster' comments you see, because these will take whatever you put in them. This can make TM 1911s quite powerful pistols, at least for standard TMs - 350 FPS is achievable with Guarder Gas on a warm day, due to the long-ish barrel.

WE Beretta M84 Inox 'Taiwan Custom' [Airsoft]

28:05
A close look at the WE 'Taiwan Custom' Beretta 84 Inox. For a WE it's quite expensive at $185 for the silver model (black also available), but this price is easily justified by the lovely wood grips and crisp laser etched trademarks. Finish and fit is very good, and is a reminder of how far WE have come in recent years. If you are interested in the M84, make sure you put the extra $50 towards one of these - highly recommended. Only available so far from WGC shop: http://www8.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail1.php?search_From=searchItem&item=OT-PS-WEM84BK&search=special&rs=m84&catid=&cat=&view_choice=b

Tanaka S&W Model 442 Airweight Review [Airsoft]

17:48
No editing, I just wanted to get this uploaded! There is no online information about this gun (other than my Arnies thread), so I was excited to review it - it's a shame nobody really follows Tanaka's new releases. Anyway, it's a typical Tanaka - great quality, beautifully made and actually usable now I have fixed the crazy hop up! An instant favorite of mine - not cheap £250 with RS S&W grips, but for me it's the perfect airsoft replica.

Tokyo Marui PX4 Storm Review [Airsoft]

27:04
Continuing my string of TM GBB reviews (XDM is on it's way), here is a review of the TM PX4 Storm - one of the best out of-the-box skirmish pistols you can buy. It is the perfect balance of performance, build quality and great fit/finish, ideal for a skirmisher (green gas/propane shouldn't be an issue) or a collector who will appreciate how well it's made.

Tokyo Marui M9A1 Stainless Review [Airsoft]

33:53
I believe this is the first English spoken review/video about this gun online, since it's TMs newest GBB (As of Feburary 2014). With the M9A1 out, nobody has any excuse buying an old TM M9 - these are simply better in every way, and this Inox version is a great GBB. Beautifully finished with a silver coating that rivals (in not surpasses) Tanaka/WA, just like their excellent nickel 1911. As expected it shoots very well, making it a great blend of performance and perfect finishing. TM have once again proved they make the best all round GBBs you can buy - you are paying for it though, at £160 new from UK shops.

Tokyo Marui P226 E2 Review [Airsoft]

A quick look at the new P226 E2 Gas Blowback pistol from Tokyo Marui. This was bought for around £140, and is a great pistol for either display or skirmishing. I would totally recommend the new P226, and considering it's quite unique still, I would buy another if I had some spare money!

Tanaka S&W Model 19 2.5" Steel Finish [Airsoft]

16:39
I bought this Tanaka 'Steel Finish' S&W M19 Combat Magnum for just over £100 second hand, and I'm very pleased I did. Adjustable FPS, Adjustable Hop Up, PEGASUS gas system, 12 BB capacity and a beautiful steel finish. Although it's ABS, it's more metal looking than any other gun I've owned, and it's very well made - an instant favorite of mine.

Tanaka S&W Model 327 R8 Jupiter Finish Review [Airsoft]

30:44
This is the first English spoken review of this gun online, partly because Tanaka didn't make many of them (now discontinued), and they cost as much as a high end AEG (Over $400). Although I'm not a huge fan of modern revolvers, and never planned on buying a very expensive R8, I couldn't help myself when WGC shop has just one of these left for $338. 2 weeks later and it was in my hands - it may have cost £300, but how often do you see an airsoft revolver this cool!? The C More is an Chinese one by 'Element', and with some modification works well on the gun (the reticule was too small and dim out of the box) - the gun includes a metal rail for optics. Despite initial FPS concerns (Redwolf claim 169 FPS...) this gun was tested by WGC at 270, which is acceptable, although let down by the poor hop unit. Still, it's accurate, heavy (1200g!) and certainly unique. A S&W R8 series is a must have for anyone who likes revolvers but finds the usual models a bit dated. Heavy Weight material combined with a nice stainless finish makes the gun special (and expensive), but truthfully, the $200 HW black version would probably be the more sensible choice. You're paying for the finish, and in this example it wasn't as perfect as I had expected- not to mention that the real S&W R8/TRR8 only comes in black...

Tanaka Colt Police Positive Special HW Review [Airsoft]

27:19
Once again, this is the first English spoken video of this gun online, which is a shame because it's a great little 6 shooter, one of Tanakas best. If only they would make a Steel Jupiter model, HW is nice, old guns like these don't look quite right in plain black. Speaking of Jupiter guns, once it gets here I will be reviewing a brand new (only released on April 14th) Tanaka Colt SAA, Detachable Cylinder, 4 3/4" Steel Jupiter finish. Since only a handful of shops sell them so far (all in Japan), it will probably be the first video of the gun on the internet, and proably the first Steel Jupiter SAA in Europe.

Tokyo Marui FN 5-7 Review [Airsoft]

34:27
A long review (sorry..) of the awesome, but flawed, TM FN57. Yes, I know I babble a lot in this review, but hopefully yet get the idea - it's a really nice pistol (great performance, nice kick, great gas efficiency, unique, cheap upgrades available like threaded barrels, great host for a suppressor and tac-light ) *but* it has inherent design flaws that mean Green Gas/Propane should not be used. Even mid-powered Abbey Ultra gas caused a number of problems to occur, something I do not expect of TM pistols - no other gun they make has such problems, luckily. I overcame these issues and now the FN57 is one of my favorites, however I do not recommend it to those who want a low-maintenance, highly durable skirmish gun for use with Propane etc. - for that purpose TMs PX4, 1911s/Hi Capas, P226s etc. are better choices. Still, great pistol, just a shame the design doesn't allow for gases more powerful than 134a/Duster without some work. I should note that most of the issues do not 'break' the gun as such, they just stop it working as well as it should. Throw in a new outer barrel, fix the slide rails to the blowback unit and you will have a durable, reliable pistol.

Marushin Winchester 1892 'DX Gold' Review [Airsoft]

37:11
The long awaited (by at least 1 person...) Winchester 1892 review! Verdict - Love it! Yes it's expensive, and yes it only shoots in the low 200s, but it's a very well made replica that is lots of fun to play with, and about as realistic as airsoft can get (if only it was shell ejecting!) Highly recommended, although it's not the most effective skirmish tool. The KTW spring gun could be the better choice for the airsofter, but can't match the build quality, materials, smooth action or looks of the Marushin. Bought here:http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Classic_Rifles_Marushin_Marushin_M1982_Randall_DX_Gold_6mm_BB.htm

Here is a TM MEU & Detonics based compact 1911 that I've been building for a month or so. Not a whole lot of custom work, certainly not as impressive as LaZouche's 1911 etc., but the total for the project was under £70, and although not a huge 1911 fan, I'm happy with the result.

Western Arms Beretta 92fs Centurion Review [Airsoft]

25:53
I admit this is a pretty bad video, and it's unfair to 'review' a product based on my old, used example (which doesn't function too well), but I felt it was worth making a quick video since there isn't a whole lot of info out there about these short Beretta 92s. For £45 it's probably the cheapest GBB I have ever bought, but despite it's age and poor function, the WA quality shines through. With a new gas router (£5), this could be a fine skirmish pistol, at the price of a cheapo NBB. Great quality, weight and very nice plastics used - If you ever see a working WA for under £50....get it!
