Magic Mountain Lodge in Chile 2014 HD 1080p When we first came across this green, mountain-like resort, we had to do a double take to see if it was for real! Called the Magic Mountain Lodge, the 13 room hotel looks like it came straight from middle earth. The lodge sits in the private Huilo-Huilo Biological Reserve in northern Chile's Patagonia and is a celebration of the rich natural heritage that the preserve aims to protect. And get this-- visitors enter the establishment on a suspended rope bridge and are greeted by a cascade of water coming down from the cone shaped green roof. The Lodge sits on a diverse forest region in northern Patagonia and is a base camp at the Hulio Hulio preserve for ecotourists looking to spot a puma or explore the local waterfalls. The hotel is cone shaped with dormer windows peaking out of its vegetated and stone façade. A water spot on top pours over the roof, drenching the plants and anyone at the base of the building. The playful design is intended to evoke an ancient legend that speaks of a magic mountain in the area that grants wishes. If you don’t get your wish fulfilled, at least there is a bar, a restaurant, and a sauna inside. Outside, there are hot tubs made from the hollows of tree stumps. The lodge is designed using local building materials and labor and all the wood was carefully harvested locally as well. The reserve is a privately held 600 square kilometer park dedicated to the preservation of the region’s biodiversity and fauna. The surrounding land, located on the northern edge of Patagonia right in the center of Chile sees all four seasons and is a very wet region. The rich diversity of land types and the relatively undeveloped region is a huge draw for international tourists seeking to see one of the wildest places left on the planet. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Most Beautiful Canal Cities In The World 2017 HD" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THkJaPQZrCs -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

This is one of the most spectacular sites in South America. Gushing waterfalls and raging torrents weave through the native Patagonian forest of the Huilo Huilo nature reserve a private foundation dedicated to conservation and eco-tourism. Visitor numbers to the resort in southern Chile are carefully controlled but the accommodation is just as sensational as the surroundings. The Baobab Hotel is literally a giant tree house. Built in 2007 guest rooms reach eight stories high into the canopy of the forest. In the open centre of the wooden structure a native a rauli tree rises up while panoramic windows open up to natural vistas all around. Living in and with nature is a key concept of the reserve. The Magic Mountain was first hotel in Huilo Huilo built in 2004. Clad in volcanic rock from the outside the structure looks like a fairy tale tower with a waterfall tumbling down from the summit. Even the architecture here is a tourist attraction. The hotels are base camp for excursions into the 100000 hectares 386 square miles of this unique environment declared a protected biosphere by UNESCO in 2007 and rated one of the 25 most valuable and threatened eco regions in the world. The biggest surprise for visitors is the high altitude glacier straddled between two volcanic craters at around 2400 metres 7874 feet above sea level. At this elevation with a blinding cloudscape hanging below mountain summits travel here feels like flying. Expeditions on snowmobiles and tracked snow vehicles bring guests right to the top of the glacier called Mocho-Choshuenco after the two volcanoes. For Rodrigo Alvear and his family the snow alone is a major attraction. We come from the north of Chile from the driest desert of the world in Antofagasta. For us it is really impressive to see ice and snow at this time of the year. My daughter has never seen snow before and now is her first experience so it is spectacular he says. In the stifling heat of the South American summer the reserve provides a unique opportunity for winter sports and snow trekking all year round. That s another big attraction says mountain guide Antonio Vasquez. Among all the activities we have here the most special one is the unique possibility in South America of skiing until the end of February. Also as you can see we have snowmobiles and family tours in the Darwini which is an amphibious vehicle with a capacity of up to five people that can be driven on snow and water. There is also trekking over the glacier. Huilo Huilo is one of the most popular destinations in Chile for foreign tourists with around 25 percent of visitors each year coming from Europe the US and Canada. The area was formerly dominated by the timber industry but a financial crisis during 1999 and 2000 led to a rethink. The eco tourism business was devised to find a way of exploiting the area s natural resources without destroying them. Another element of the project is the Huilo Huilo Foundation committed to invo

At first visual impact, you might think it was built by smurfs, fairies, hobbits, gnomes or some other mythical creature. The Montaña Mágica Lodge was actually built by local craftsmen from the surrounding communities and Puerto Fuy Neltume, or small wood-based mountain villages. This magical and surreal landscape became quickly a national treasure that increase the amount of visitors each year. More info: http://homesthetics.net/?p=7742

Hotel Amidst a Waterfall - as part of the travel series by GeoBeats. The Magic Mountain Lodge in southern Chile will transport you to a land only found in children's storybooks. This hotel found on the grounds of a 232 square mile nature reserve has been created inside a man-made volcano that erupts water in place of lava. The water runs down the structure which is covered in moss and lush vines and hobbit-like windows scattered throughout. In order to get to the 13 room lodge, you cannot just drive up to a parking garage. You must brave a walk across a swinging rope bridge where you might catch sight of a pudu - the smallest deer species in the world which stands just 13 inches tall. There are lots of hiking trails available, and those brave enough can fly through the jungle on the longest zip wire in South America - 1,500 feet in the air. What do you think - would you want to stay here?

The Palace Of Salt Near the largest salt flat in the world, about 23 kilometers away, you’ll come across the hotel known as Palacio de Sal or the Palace of Salt in Bolivia. The salt flat of Salar de Uyuni draws in loads of visitors all the time. So where can all these tourists go stay? At this 3 star hotel that was built in 2007 with the first hotel having been open between 1993 to 1995. That hotel had to be closed due to mismanagement that lead to severe environmental pollution. Lots Of Glass Igloos This igloo resort looks amazing at night, appearing like some sort of otherworldly neighborhood. The Luxury Collection Hotel If you’re big on architecture, just seeing the surreal, wavy walls and roof of his hotel in Elciego, Spain, you already know this has to be the work of architect Frank Gehry. It stands at a height of 82 feet or 25 meters with 4 floors and an area of 34,000 square feet or 3,200 meters squared. Treehouse Lodge Resort, Iquitos, Peru The Treehouse Lodge Resort is located in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. It can only be reached by an hour-long boat ride from Iquitos. After arriving, guests have to climb between 35 and 60 feet into one of eight circular tree houses that sit up in the forest canopy. They have thatch-roofs, a railing, curtains and optional mosquito netting. Definitely take the option!! 9. Utter Inn, Sweden This hotel is a bit fishy. That’s right: it’s underwater! Though there are many underwater hotels around the world now, the Utter Inn in Sweden is very special. It is the project of a local artist, located in the middle of Lake Malaren. At first glance, it just looks like a small cabin on a floating platform. 8. Crane Hotel, The Netherlands This upscale hotel comes with a strange twist. In Harlingen, a crane on the docks has been converted into a hotel that has boasted tons of high-end corporate clients including Red Bull, Louis Vuitton and Heineken. When they began renovations on this crane that, at the time, was sitting in an abandoned fishing wharf, they left the observation windows for a fantastic view of Amsterdam which sits just across the river. 7. Palacio de Sal, Bolivia This one is pretty unique! How about a hotel made entirely of salt?? The walls are salt, the floor, the ceiling- even most of the furniture! It makes sense because the Palacio de Sal in Bolivia, which means the salt palace, is located just 15 miles away from the famous great salt flats of Salar de Uyuni, where all their raw material from. 6. Propeller Island City Lodge, Germany This hotel is all about artistic creativity. Propeller Island in Berlin is quite the spectacle. It has a total of 27 rooms, all of which are unique, with an entirely different theme. There’s one room that is a prison cell, another that is a crypt- with coffin included, and a room that is entirely surrounded by mirrors!! When I was thinking about the different themes that each of these rooms could have, none of these came to mind. 5. Hotel Lindenwirt, Germany This hotel is also located in Germany, except instead of Berlin, its home is in Rudesheim in Rhine Valley, which is famous for its wine. They’re unique twist is that you can sleep in a wine barrel! Don’t worry, they’ve tried to make it more comfortable than you think. And the beds are separated so if you are hoping for a romantic night, might be tough. But, it is surrounded by beautiful views! The house has been run by the same family for generations! 4. Hobbit Motel, New Zealand Located on the North Island of New Zealand is the Hobbit Motel at Woodlyn Park. Inspired by the Lord of the Rings, these units are located in the side of a hill with grazing donkey and sheep. Not only is it hobbit themed but it has its own kitchen, living area and bedroom making it completely self-sufficient housing! The motel contains ten units total. 3. Magic Mountain Hotel, Chile This magical place is right out of a fairytale. It’s a mountain on a mountain! And to get to it you have to go through a waterfall, high up in the Andes mountains in the Chilean Forest. The Magic Mountain Hotel peeks out from the Huilo Huilo Reserve in Chile. It is a wooden cone, covered with moss, gnarled with vines, and a waterfall cascading down from the pinnacle. 2. Icehotel,Sweden The Icehotel located in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden, is, you guessed it, the largest hotel made entirely from snow and ice. Even more than a hotel, it is an art exhibition that was founded in 1989. Even your bed is made out of ice! This keeps the temperature throughout the hotel around 23 degrees Fahrenheit. 1. Karostas Cietums, Latvia This is one strange hotel where you will need to sign a waiver! It’s name is Karostas Cietums, located in Latvia and it was a prison during WWII. Now tourists are paying to spend the night there for the full “prison experience”. This is one case of turning dark history around, I guess. It previously housed revolutionaries, Stalin’s enemies and later the KGB during the Cold War. Is this the most magical hotel in the world? Chilean lodge covered in a living wall, complete with waterfall cascading over building In the middle of the southern Andes is the unexpected Magic Mountain: a man-made volcano with a stunning waterfall cascading down its side. It's also the home to the spectacular Montaña Mágica Lodge, a luxury hotel in the heart of Patagonia's 300,000-acre Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve. Looking as though it's been plucked straight out of a fairy tale, the hotel is completely made out of wood and stone, and would no doubt be at home as a background set for The Hobbit. Located under the majestic Andes Mountain range, the unique hotel is right in the middle of one of the most valued - and endangered - regions in the world. Aside from simply relaxing inside the one of a kind hotel, venturing into the rainforest offers guests the opportunity to spot many unique animals, such as the Pudu Deer, which is the world's smallest at just 13 inches tall.

Worlds Most INCREDIBLE Hotel Rooms! From sleeping in prison to taking a romantic dive in a luxe submarine…stay tuned to number 1 for 10 of the most incredible hotel rooms. This top 10 brought to you by Zero2Hero!! Don't forget to subscribe here! https://goo.gl/NXuChu Click here to see 10 UNBELIEVABLE Animal Superpowers!! https://youtu.be/w-wK7_5CGsY Number 10: The Crane Hotel Faralda, Holland. The Crane Hotel on the Banks of River IJ in Amsterdam, was formerly a dockside crane that unloaded containers from ships since the 1960s, before being converted into a luxurious hotel between 2001 and 2003. Its ladders were replaced with modern lifts and three suites were built into its body. On the upper deck, they added a heated pool with gorgeous views of the city. Looking at this steel-framed structure, you may be excused to think that the rooms are small and cramped…but not on this million-dollar hotel. In the former machinery room, 40 meters above ground, is the 40 square meter split level Secret Suite. The first floor is the living area, which is decorated with designer furniture and many silk pillows. On the second floor, there is a Queen size Coco-Mat bed and an original handmade copper bath. Forty five meters above ground is the Mystique Suite where the predominant colors are black and gold. It has two floors, gold ceilings, and a rather unique bathroom made of parts from a capsized ocean cruiser. And finally, the Free Spirit suite at 35 meters, also with split levels. Suites go for only $496 a night, but that’s excluding breakfast, security and other extras that will make you feel just like the CEOs, Royals and VIPs that have stayed at the hotel. Number 9: Magic Mountain Hotel, Chile. Feeling bored? Head off to the Huilo-Huilo Biological Reserve; a magical piece of the Chilean Patagonian Rainforest. And if you need a place to crash, stay at the charming Montaña Mágica Lodge. It’s shaped like a volcano and carpeted with thick green moss. But there is no fiery lava spewing from its crater, instead a graceful waterfall flows down the sides of this mountain. While you could stay in the cozy, wooden hotel rooms for the whole day, there are lots of activities at your disposal. You can go rafting, mountain biking, trekking or horseback riding in the vicinity. Or visit the Hulio-Huilo Waterfall, another hidden treasure. During your daily excursions, you may see the nearly threatened Southern pudú, which is the world’s smallest deer. Number 8: The Cave Motel Room, USA. Before we talk about this secluded, underwater hotel room, take a moment to like this video and join the Zero2Hero community by using the buttons below! Don’t forget to click that little notification bell, to, so you can always stay up to date on our newest videos! If you’re more of a silent type, and can’t get the world to shush even for a second; what about a stay in the darkest, oldest, and quietest motel room in the world, where you can hear your breath and heartbeat. Situated 220 feet beneath the ground, which is approximately 22 stories deep, the Underground Cave Suite is one lonely place. No creature dares to call the cave home, not even bats or crickets. Don’t worry; you can bring a couple of friends over. It has a living room, two double beds, a fold out sofa, a library with old magazines, a record player and an attendant who sleeps by the elevator should you need anything. The only thing that might suffer is your privacy because of the guided tours that start from 10 am every day. You’ll find the Grand Canyon Caverns along Route 66 in Arizona. Number 7: Propeller Island City Lodge, Germany. This city lodge in Berlin has some truly freakish rooms, created by German Artist, Lars Stroschen. Staying here is akin to living in a piece of art. There are 30 or so rooms to choose from, with some truly incredible spaces on offer; like room 28-The Padded Cell, which is entirely covered with green leather. In Room 31-the Gruft, two white coffins await your weary body. If this is not exciting enough…how about sleeping on a bed suspended 1.6 meters off the ground in Room 12–the 4 Beams. Or, literally nesting inside a kaleidoscope in one of the lodge’s most iconic rooms, the Mirror Room. And there is one room I’ll not discuss in length; it’s fittingly-labeled Nudes. Topping off the magnificent concepts, prices start at $112. Number 6: Palacio de Sal, Bolivia. On the salt desert plain of Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia—is a hotel entirely made of salt. You may wonder why they chose such an unconventional building material. Well, it’s for the same reason Eskimos build igloos from ice; salt is the only building material readily available. Construction begun in 1993, but due to mismanagement, the original building had to be torn down in 2002. The present salt palace was built in 2007 and used one million,14-inch salt blocks for the walls, chairs, tables, floors & sculptures.
