Photography For Beginners- Product Photography

04:58
Photography tips for beginners should be easy to comprehend and in this video I’ll show you how you can shoot your own product photography to get a high end look, on a budget. You can get commercial product photography quality at a fraction of the price, when you focus on studio lighting. You can use any photo lights or even sunlight, but it’s important to know how soft lighting brings out the product details and makes it easy for you to edit to get a high end look. Product photographers have experience in getting the details to shine and in this video Nelson Ramirez from Morning Coffee Production joins us to share his set up and the end results. 🐸Best Camera for Etsy Photos. Etsy Product Photography is a big topic! I want to teach you the difference between cell phone Etsy photos and professional camera Etsy photography. Kapeesh? Thanks for watching! Here are the best cameras for Etsy photos: ATTENTION: There is a difference between the T6i and the T6. So you may see what you think is the camera I mentioned (T6i) for way cheaper, but it's a less quality version. ➡️Canon T5i Kit (best price direct from Canon): https://amzn.to/2Lxt5zh ➡️Canon T6i Kit (best price direct from Canon w/ 2 lenses!) https://amzn.to/2LvhzVh 💯Canon T7i Kit: https://amzn.to/2uyHeWx These are all similarly priced, so if the differences arnt huge to you, go with the T7i. You won't regret it and it will end up paying for itself a million times over honestly. Buying a professional camera was one of the best decisions I've ever made for my businesses. In coming up with this list we heavily factored in price, because DSLR Cameras range from anywhere $400 dollars to $4000 so we wanted to make sure we include the best products based on price versus performance. Will the $4000-dollar camera out perform the $500-dollar camera, probably, but is the extra money really worth the difference in quality. Well that’s what we intend to find out in this video. We break down based on the best budget picks, best value, mid-range, and the best for professionals. Hope you enjoy the video, if you did, please give the video a like and consider subscribing. ============================================= ►SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE ►BACKGROUND MUSIC → Music: The Come Up Instrumental - Logic → Disclaimer Portions of footage found in this video is not original content produced by The Product Lab. 41:09
Best Product Photography Gear & Workflow (2018) Description This video is about the best product photography gear and workflow (2018) that I recommend. In this video, I will be talking about the product photography gear I use every day. After doing this professionally for over 10 years, this is the best photo gear I recommend for anyone looking to produce awesome product shots. Here, I will recommend equipment at a good price that produces favourable output. In addition, I will be discussing my photography processes, tips and hacks to get the most out of your equipment. As color is important, my commercial photography workflow is a color-managed workflow. This means that I measure color for consistency and accuracy. In this video, I will demonstrate how I use grey cards, light meters and other techniques to produce correct hues in my product photos. Finally, sourcing the best gear is not easy. As there are many competing photo tools on the market, here, I will recommend the items that yield the best results at the best price. My intent is to point to items that will yield the best value without being deficient or overkill. In the text below, I will provide links to the merchandise that I recommend. I will outline what I find to be the best value in commercial photography equipment. This equipment includes: cameras, stands, photography tethering software, strobes, diffusers, monitors, photo tethering tools, photography tables, editing software and other techniques. product photography guide

18:47
product photography guide How to shoot amazing product photography for your online store. This guide will briefly talk about the equipment, settings and post editing for preparing running shoes photos for an online store. You can use any camera to take great images for product photography (even smartphones) but you will have more flexibility in post and less errors if you take photos in raw and in manual mode. Be sure to use a tripod to get consistent looking shots for all your images as well as reducing camera shakes and overall better quality images. Tripods also serve the purpose of reducing the ISO settings to capture sharper images. You can shoot jpegs or raw. Raw images will give you the advantage of advanced edits with the help of Lightroom. Lighting is also very important. You don't want harsh direct light. I used a soft box tent that helps diffuse light. Soft light will give your products a more stunning appearance. Once you have a tripod and controlled lighting, shooting in manual will give you better results with consistency. The reason to use an aperture of at least F8 is so that the entire product is in focus. If you use values like F3.5, some of the areas can get out of focus. ISO is the sensitivity of the sensor. You can get brighter images with higher values but will be more grainy in low light conditions. The shutter speed will need to be relatively slow to allow more light in. This is not a problem with a tripod. If you take handheld, you will introduce camera shakes. Also check the White balance of your camera settings if your going to shoot in jpegs. Not all lights are the same and you may end up with slightly yellowish or blueish images. Product Photography Home Studio Killer Tips

17:16
http://www.brooklynphotoworks.com/product-photography-home-studio-killer-tips In this video, I take you guys thru the entire process of a home studio product photography shoot. I share with you every detail of my setup, every photo I take and how I made it. I give you my camera settings and flash settings. I also show you my mistakes and how I corrected them. Product photography requires patience. This is not a quick process and there's a bit of set up involved. There's also the mentality. Taking your time to get your exposure just right is critical to getting the right shots. In this video, I demonstrate the amazing Cactus RF60 speedlites and V6 transceivers using a 4-speedlite setup. The flexibility and power you have with this kind of setup is amazing. Being able to control power to each of your speedlites from the top of the camera is so important, especially when you're working alone with a lot of lights. These Cactus flashes and transceiver - receivers, have built-in radio transmitters so they can all send and receive signal. You can set up to 4 groups of flashes in multiple channels, all of which you control a the touch of a button or turn of a dial. Another amazing thing about the Cactus V6's is that they come pre-loaded with Canon and Nikon profiles for many of their popular flashes. In this video, I'm using Nikon SB-800 flashes on Cactus V6's as receivers and able to control the power with the V6 on my camera. AMAZING. And control flash power to the Cactus RF60's as well. This video is chock full of killer tips and nuggets. I pop a lot of tips on the screen to help along with the learning process. I’ve been using my phone to take photos but want to step up to a better camera, what would you suggest”.Well to start off with, congratulatons on wanting to get started with photographhy. It's one of my favourites thins in life and I’m sure you’ll get the bug and you’ll love it too. So theree are a lot of great cameras to learn photography with, and they don't have to be too expensive eitehr. First off, good work taking photos with your phone. I often encourage people to learn to take great photos with your phone because it really makes you be creative because your phone is somewhat limited compared to a dalr. Phones are super easy to use with their large displays, you can take a tonne of photos for almost no cost and because they’ve generally got a fixed focal length, so you need to use their your to move rather than just zooming. But as you’re looking for a new camera, I’d first take a look at getting an older DSLR like the Nikon D3100. The D3100 came out a few years back so it's a little older now, but it can still take some lovely photos. And if you pair it up with a nice prime lens, which is a lens thatt cant zoom, you’ll eb able to learn to take great shots with that nice background blur. A good cheap lens that a lot of beginners use is the 50mm 1.8. These are pretty cheap and are great for portraits because you can really get a shallow depth of field and isolate your subject. If you want to get an older Canon DSLR i’d look at the Canon T2i or Canon T3i. These are super cheap these days and have good 1080p filming as well. If you dont’ want to get an older or second hand camera, you could look at a few of these dslr’s. Firstly nikon just released theyr D3400 DSLR. This one comes in at around about $500 and is great value for money. It’s can shoot at 5 frames per second and can also wirelessly ternser photos to your phone aswell. Canon have their T6 camera, or called the 1300d if you're outside of amercia, and this is another great cameraa to learn on. It’s got some pretty basicc controls but it also has all the manual settings for when you get a bit more comfortable with the camera. One of my favourite little cameras is this one here, the panasonic Gm1. This one here is about 3 years old now so it's pretty cheap these days at around $300. It’s one of the smallest cameras that you can change lenses on in the world but it can still take lovely shots. Not only that, it's also got a cool vintage look which I really love. If you pair it up with a nice lens like this one here, the 20mm 1.7 you can really get some lovely photos as well. One of the most popular cameras from Sony is another one that you could look at. It’s called the Sony A6000 and it's a few years old now but it’s still Great. Theres a few new models out now, the A6300 and the A6500, but for a beginner, I think the A6000 would be mroe than enough. You could also look at the Pansonic G7. It’s a a brillaint little camera with great which records in 4k as well, so if you’re into making videos, that could be a good choice for you as well. So they some of the best cameras for beginners.

Best Lens for Small Product Photography

05:06
Nikon 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5D Autofocus Zoom Nikkor Lens https://amzn.to/2NQWjKm http://photofonz.com I get asked often "What is the best lens for me to use"? Well in this video I reveal the lens that I have been using for about a ten year span in doing small product photography, especially jewelry. This lens is the Nikon 28-105mm lens. It is sharp and capable enough to give you outstanding professional images. This lens can also be picked up for under $200 on ebay. Yes, it’s true. Several years ago I started helping my wife build her eBay business while creating the photos of jewelry and small products that she was selling. Over and over again I saw her sell her items on eBay for many times more than what she paid for them. Her items sometimes would sell for 35 or 50 times more than what she paid. Sometimes even more than that. What’s the difference between the items? Nothing, except the photos that she showed were beautiful. They were lit and composed beautifully, had interesting backgrounds and overall, had the look that you might see in the photographs displayed at high end jewelers and department stores. As the result, this gave them a much higher perceived value and her customers were willing to pay more for these items. You are probably wondering, what’s the big deal? What makes these photos look so great? Can anyone learn to take photos like these? Yes, I absolutely believe anyone can? Here’s why: I have been a professional photographer for many years. Our studio specialized in portrait & wedding photography and we were quite busy. When she asked me to help her take her photos of jewelry and small products she started selling, I started doing so in a simple, easy and quick way since I didn’t have too much time to spend on her photos, I was quite busy taking my own photos and running the studio. What started as a simple and quick photo session of her items, has evolved through the years. I was able to fine tune the lighting, the set-up and overall way we photographed her items. Our method has remained simple, quick, easy to learn, and consistent. We step into our small studio room we have designated for taking these photos, turn on the lights, and begin the photography. If you would like to learn how you can take photos of the small products or jewelry you are selling, consider enrolling in this course. Instead of photographing your items on a carpet or bed spread with bad lighting. Say NO to bad photos and start making more money. Whether you are selling your own products on your own website or small products on eBay, I truly believe this course can help you. Here’s what’s covered: 1. Simple Product Photography Tips: 5 Min Portrait

08:21
http://froknowsphoto.com/product-photography-5min/ Click Here for the full res images. The reason I use the word "simple" in the title of this post is because this is a very basic setup that just about anyone can do. Product photography does not have to be overwhelming. You don't always need fourteen different lights, reflectors and assistants to capture a product shot. Of course in some situations where it is called for, you may need a more intense setup. If your goal is to simply get a product shot captured and online to help you showcase a something than the tips in this video will come in handy. When I am shooting photos of products on my kitchen table I like to use the natural light from outside and sometimes some continuos lights inside. In this case my main light was the daylight with a little bit of fill come from a continuous light that was meant to light me for the video. My goal was to capture a product shot of the Canon lens that could be used for an article, a sales page or just for practice. You will notice that I try and fill the frame as much as possible when I am capturing the image. Being that I do not crop my goal is to get the composition I am looking for as soon as I shot the image. Keep in mind when you are trying to capture shots like this that your background will play a major part in telling the story of the image. Will you shoot from the top down, bottom up, off to the side or smack dab right on. As you see in the video I had control of what my final background would look like by simply changing my own level. Did I want more of my kitchen in the background, did I want more of a blackgorund or did I want something else? I was able to make small adjustments that made each image look unique and slightly different. Who knew that a simple zebra pillow could totally change the image? Last minute I decided to see what would happen if we added a zebra pillow in the background. The hope was that I would get some very nice bokeh giving us a totally different picture. That is exactly what happened. We went form a dark background to a flashy white one with zebra stripes that were out of focus. Not only did the pillow give us a different background but it bounced light back into our subject creating some nice separation light. Don't get me wrong, there are so many different things I could have done in the studio to make this a more professional photo shoot. But for a simple 5 minute portrait that anyone can do as long as they have some daylight I think it does a great job. Do you know how people are always asking if they should go to school or study online? This assuagement is something that you would find in your first year as a photo student. The teacher would tell you to use natural light to photograph a product. That is all school is, it's assignment after assignment after assignment until you finally leave school. Use this as a personal assignment for you to practice product photography, that is the best way to practice before a real job comes along. Feel free to download the full res images from the photo shoot. I used the Nikon D4 with the Nikon 70-200 2.8 VRII with VR on to capture the images. I used Adobe Lightroom 5 to tweak and edit all the files. If you have a suggestion you would like to see for a 5 min portrait feel free to leave a comment below. ALZO Horizontal Camera Mount for Overhead Product Photography

09:27
ALZO Horizontal Camera Mount for Overhead Product Photography ALZO Horizontal Camera Mount: https://amzn.to/2L3145U The ALZO Horizontal Camera Mount works exactly as described. It's incredibly easy to install to the tripod camera plate, and the rod slides smoothly into the preferred position. I got this unit for my stationary setup and after sometimes I realized that there is nothing better than the ALZO mount that has both the quality and the durability. If you are using a heavy camera or you are planning to extend the mount to its maximum, You may need to add one or two water bottle weights if you have a heavier DSLR camera. However, it holds any camera very easily. I Have not yet experienced any bending or anything like that with the ALZO Horizontal Camera Mount and the screw threads are plenty long for a secure attachment to the camera. I have to admit that this was a perfect option for me and my filming needs, and I love it! I would recommend this for anyone who needs to do overhead shots Get your ALZO Horizontal Camera Mount, Black, Tripod Accessory, for Supporting a Camera for Overhead Product Photography @ https://amzn.to/2L3145U ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello everyone, this is my Day talk!!! my goal is to follow my dream and make video, YouTube has always been my dream and part of my life as I started many channel nut never had time to work on them, however, now I am determined to work on this and take my passion to the next level Please Subscribe and thank you for your time ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***IMPORTANT*** My Videos aren't hitting Sub Boxes so Loads of you don't know when i Upload a Video! This is a simple setup and is great fo all sorts of simple product photography, with the camera set on a tripod it does not matter how long the exposure is so long as the lights are lighting the product. It is important to kill any ambient light as this can effect the image, if the item is reflected be careful as the scene will be reflected in it.
