Israel Gay Men In The Promised Land

03:12
Jerusalem will be the main location for this year’s annual “Gay Pride Parade” rather than in the traditional location of Tel Aviv. According to sources, Jerusalem is both Israel’s capital and largest city. However, its gay pride parade is much smaller than then one in Tel Aviv, which has a large LGBT community and prides itself on its tolerant environment. The decision to hold Israel’s main gay pride parade in Jerusalem this year instead of Tel Aviv was pushed by the Jerusalem Open House for Pride and Tolerance in order to protest for equal rights for the LGBT community. It seems that we are now seeing the passage from the book of Revelation come more to light than any time before. In the Revelation Chapter Eleven Verse Eight, The Bible tells us that the Spiritual condition of Jerusalem during the time of the murdering of the two witnesses in the future will be that of Egypt and Sodom.

250,000 people celebrate Tel Aviv’s 20th Gay Pride Parade

02:19
(8 Jun 2018) Ripped men in white underwear, pink bunny ears and black bow ties gyrated through the streets of Tel Aviv along with drag queens and others to loud trance music for the annual Gay Pride Parade on Friday - the biggest event of its kind in the region and drawing people from around the world to party. The Tel Aviv Municipality said 250,000 people celebrated on Friday. The good times in Tel Aviv contrasted sharply with events just 70 kilometres (44 miles) to the south, were Israeli soldiers braced for a mass Palestinian rally along the Gaza border. The Islamic militant group that rules Gaza has been leading weekly demonstrations that have turned violent, with 115 Palestinians killed since late March. Israel says it's defending its sovereign border, including nearby communities. Israel has emerged as one of the world's most gay-friendly travel destinations in recent years, in sharp contrast to the rest of the Middle East where gay culture is often not tolerated. In Israel, homosexuals serve openly in Israel's military and parliament, and many popular artists and entertainers are homosexual. After that terrible experience, Louie fled to Israel. Despite being a Palestinian living there illegally, Israel provides a safe refuge from his vengeful family and fellow Palestinians. Life is not easy in Tel Aviv, but Louie no longer needs to fear for his life and is accepted within Israel's gay community. He's learned to be tough and make sure that he doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Every time the Israelis expel him he sneaks back into Israel. He works illegally and avoids all contact with Palestinians and even Israeli Arabs who may give him up to his family in Nablus. In Jaffa where his family work he won't even walk the streets. As the cab drives past his family's kiosk he covers his face and says urgently, "drive, drive faster." "Unfortunately, Israel doesn't provide protection for people in your situation." says Anat from an Israeli refugee charity which can help him get asylum overseas. He doesn't want to leave the country, but ten years on the run have worn him down. He meets a successful refugee applicant named Abdu who is waiting to leave. Their friendship blossoms and Abdu tries to convince Louie to leave, but also brings him inside the Arab gay scene in Israel. Despite starting the refugee process Louie is still torn about leaving his homeland, "I want to breathe my culture, my land." Abdu leaves and Louie is alone in Tel Aviv. Both men desperately miss the families that persecute them. "We all live in yearning, I miss my father," Louie says. After receiving an offer of asylum, Louie learns the news of his father's death, "I was hoping that one day I'd be able to tell him, "forgive me, my father. I was born this way". But as he makes his way to the train station, he is caught by police and deported back to the West Bank. Will Louie ever be able to find the freedom he needs to live his life as a gay man? A truly heartbreaking story. Mozer Films - Ref. 5538 Every week Journeyman offers a brand new documentary, fresh out of the cutting room. Thousands strike over exclusion of gay men from new Israel surrogacy law

03:12
(22 Jul 2018) Tens of thousands of Israeli LGBT advocates and their supporters went on strike across the country on Sunday, protesting the exclusion of gay men from a recently passed surrogacy law. The community was outraged that although Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had pledged to pass legislation supporting surrogacy for gay fathers, he voted against it, apparently under pressure from his ultra-Orthodox Jewish coalition partners. Protesters marched in Tel Aviv and other Israeli cities, waving rainbow flags and briefly blocking a major highway. Tel Aviv's central Rabin Square was packed with tens of thousands of people for the main demonstration, while hundreds protested near Netanyahu's residence in Jerusalem. The protest grew into a general call for equality, following other recent controversial legislation that appeared to target Israeli liberalism. Israel emerged as one of the world's most gay-friendly travel destinations in recent years, in sharp contrast to the rest of the Middle East where gays are persecuted and even killed. In Israel, homosexuals serve openly in Israel's military and parliament, and many popular artists and entertainers are homosexual. However, leaders of the gay community say Israel still has far to go in promoting equality. Undressing Israel: Gay Men In The Promised Land

46:16
When many people think of Israel, it is often in terms of modern war or ancient religion. But there is much more to the Jewish state than missiles and prayers. In his debut as a documentary filmmaker, adult-film entrepreneur and political columnist Michael Lucas examines a side of Israel that is too often overlooked: its thriving gay community. Undressing Israel features interviews with a diverse range of local men, including a gay member of Israel’s parliament, a trainer who served openly in the army, a young Arab-Israeli journalist, and a pair of dads raising their kids. Lucas also visits Tel Aviv’s vibrant nightlife scene—and even attends a same-sex wedding—in this guided tour to a country that has emerged as a pioneer for gay integration and equality.

We are loyal to our Torah and to our tradition and God has told us in his holy Torah that this is an abomination which he abhors, and certainly in his own holy land, in his palace, in his holy city, I think every fair minded person, even those who march here in the United States would understand that is is totally inappropriate, it's a total provocation, its a total desecration." 5. Pull out from gay pride flag to Jewish gay rights group 10. Mid of Jewish demonstrators with gay rights group, holding signs 11. Pan of Jewish demonstrators STORYLINE Ultra-Orthodox Jews who gathered in New York City on Thursday to protest against a gay pride parade in Israel, were met by members from the Jewish gay community within New York, who said Jews should be allowed to express themselves no matter where they are. The Jewish leaders from the Central Rabbinical Congress called the parade an "abomination," and held signs that read, "shame on you." "As religious Jews, we are servants of God, we are loyal to out Torah and to our tradition and God has told us in his holy Torah that this is an abomination which he abhors, and certainly in his own holy land, in his palace, in his holy city. I think every fair minded person, even those who march here in the United States, would understand that is is totally inappropriate, it's a total provocation, its a total desecration," said Rabbi William Handler of Central Rabbinical Congress of Canada. New York's gay Jewish groups had a small group of demonstrators, compared to the hundreds of Orthodox Jews that showed up, but they insisted their voices still be heard. "So we're here because we don't want them, this one religious community to speak for all of us. As a Rabbi I am horrified and dismayed with what they've done with my tradition, with our tradition, and we believe that we can speak in God's name, in the name of morality and that being gay is part of God's plan," said Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum from Beth Simchat Torah Congregation in New York. Pressure from within Jerusalem resulted in the gay pride parade, planned for Friday, to be cancelled. Israeli homosexuals called off the parade under pressure from religious leaders and for security concerns, exposing deep intolerance despite an active, open gay scene in other Israeli cities. Police in Jerusalem planned to post nine-thousand officers to protect the Gay Pride march, but after errant Israeli artillery shells killed 18 Palestinian civilians in Gaza on Wednesday, triggering threats of reprisals, police asked gay organisers to scale back their gathering, and they agreed. For the past week, hundreds of ultra-Orthodox Jews have clashed nearly every night with police, burning trash bins and throwing stones while vowing to prevent the parade from going ahead. 200,000 Party in Tel Aviv Gay Pride Parade

01:00
TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Colorfully-dressed drag queens and bare-chested muscular men on floats are partying alongside thousands of others from the LGBT community at Tel Aviv's annual gay pride parade, the largest event of its kind in the Middle East. Israeli media said 200,000 people joined the festivities Friday. Israel is widely tolerant of gay people, and Tel Aviv has emerged as one of the world's most gay-friendly travel destinations. But homosexuality is often shunned in religiously observant Jewish and Muslim communities in Israel. Jerusalem, known for its rich religious history, holds a modest pride parade. ►Circle us on Google + http://goo.gl/TXeBfX ►Subscribe Channel http://goo.gl/mqt0wI ►Don't forget to Like * Comment * Share this video. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Stay tuned, Stay connected

The hidden camera footage, filmed by Israeli news site ynet shows same sex couple Shai and Ophir causing a stir as they make their way through the Israeli city. Several people stop to stare in disgust at their modest display of affection and many even shout homophobic slurs at the couple. Subtitles on the film translate the vile insults from Hebrew into English. Shocking video shows extreme homophobia on the streets of JerusalemOn-lookers shout vile insults as the couple walk through the city The unsettling scenes demonstrate how difficult day to day life still is for many gay people around the world and come just days after an ultra-Orthodox Jewish man stabbed six people at the city's gay pride event, killing a 16-year-old girl. High school student Shira Banki died three days after the attack by Yishai Schlissel who was arrested at the scene. Dramatic images showed the suspect reaching inside his coat and raising a knife above his head. He then began stabbing marchers while screaming, before being tackled by a police officer. Shocking video shows extreme homophobia on the streets of JerusalemThe video translates the slurs into English Israel is one of the only countries in the Middle East to have openly gay communities and the gay pride event in relatively secular Tel Aviv usually passes without incident. But in conservative Jerusalem, attitudes are not as liberal. A 2013 survey showed that only 40 per cent of Israelis accept LGBT people.

They aren't Jewish to me. They are sinners. They don't accept my love and are ready to kill someone, a human being. I think it's terrible." 13. Scuffles between ultra-orthodox Jewish men and police 14. Young man shouting 15. Various of marchers STORYLINE: An ultra-Orthodox Jew stabbed and wounded two marchers in the annual Jerusalem Gay Pride parade on Thursday - the most serious in a series of incidents involving opponents of the gay and lesbian gathering. Opponents tried to stop the march by throwing a stink bomb at the starting point, but several thousand marchers paraded through the centre of Jerusalem anyway, braving shouts and insults from protesters, most of them young ultra-Orthodox Jews. As the parade neared a main downtown intersection, the attacker jumped into the first group of marchers and stabbed a middle-aged man. The Israeli rescue service said another stabbing victim was slightly wounded. Police apprehended the attacker, and a number of others were arrested. The march proceeded despite the violence. Organisers called off an international gay festival set for late summer because of Israel's planned pullout from the Gaza Strip and part of the West Bank around the same time. But they decided to go ahead with the annual local march on Thursday, despite opposition from Orthodox Jews, who have a strong presence in the city. Israel's gay community stage annual pride parade

01:09
Drag queens, dancers and shirtless men partied through Tel Aviv in Israel on Friday as tens of thousands packed the streets for the annual gay pride parade, the largest event of its kind in the Middle East. Colourful floats with scantily dressed revellers drove through the city streets as thousands cheered, waved flags and gyrated to loud music. The city has emerged as one of the world's most gay-friendly travel destinations in recent years, in sharp contrast to the rest of the region. Tourists from all over the world partied in the Tel Aviv parade alongside Israelis. "I've been to New York Pride, I'm from Brooklyn and this is one of the best prides I've ever been to. Everybody is so nice, so welcoming," said John Marsh, from the United States. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said more than 80-thousand people took part in the event. Tel Aviv's openness to gays stands in contrast to conservative Jerusalem, just a short drive away, home to some of the holiest sites to Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Gays serve openly in Israel's military and parliament and many popular artists and entertainers are gay. However, leaders of the gay community say Israel still has a long way to go in promoting equality. Officially, there is no gay marriage in Israel, primarily because there is no civil marriage of any kind. All Jewish weddings must be conducted through the Jewish rabbinate, which considers homosexuality a sin and a violation of Jewish law. But the state recognises same-sex couples who marry abroad. Gay calendar raises AIDS awareness in Israel

And sometimes they have too much information and they can't decide what to do. Also in the United States for instance they found out that most people don't read lots of text. So we decided to be very short, very correct with information, not too many questions and with lots of visuals. We wanted to do it sexy, to do it fashionably. " 4. Various calendar photos 5. " 8.Various party ISRAELI GAY COMMUNITY LAUNCH FUNDRAISING CALENDAR IN FIGHT AGAINST AIDS Scantily-clad men adorn the pages of a calendar produced by the Israeli gay community as part of its struggle against AIDS. The calendar, which was launched as part of World AIDS day on 1st December, is the first of its kind in the region, according to organisers. The gay-themed calendar debuted at a Tel Aviv nightclub, where gay activists handed out condoms and AIDS-awareness ribbons. Proceeds from the 2004 calendar, which sells for 30 shekels (US$6.80), are to go to the Israeli AIDS task force, organizers said. Besides the pictures, the calendar features advice on how to protect against AIDS. The models for the calendar are all members of the local gay community, but most had never modelled before. The calendar's photographer, Eitan Tal explained "One is a famous bartender, one is a designer - everybody knows them." The calendar was co-ordinated by 37 year old Uri Lantz, who says about 4,000 people are known to be infected with the AIDS virus in Israel. He says there might be twice as many undetected, and cited poor education and lack of anonymous testing as factors for the gap. According to Israeli Health Ministry figures, 3,802 new cases of AIDS or HIV carriers were documented in Israel between 1980 and June 2003. In a statement, the ministry estimated that only another 1,000 were infected but unaware. Yantz said only about 20 percent of the AIDS cases in Israel come from the gay community. 26 year old flight attendant Dror Kaspi, who posed for the January page, said he hoped the calendar would help educate Israel's straight majority as well. The calendar is to be sold in sex shops and over the Internet. Five thousand copies have been printed, and organizers said more are on the way. A 2005 calendar is already in the works. Gay Pride parade in Tel Aviv

02:29
(3 Jun 2016) Colourful drag queens and bare-chested men danced on floats along with thousands of others from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community at Tel Aviv's annual gay pride parade, the largest event of its kind in the Middle East. Reports said 200,000 people from Israel and abroad attended on Friday. Israel is widely tolerant of gays and Tel Aviv has emerged as one of the world's most gay-friendly travel destinations. The city stands in sharp contrast the rest of the Middle East, where homosexuals lack freedoms and are persecuted. The annual Tel Aviv Pride Parade is fully sponsored by the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality. But homosexuality is often shunned in religiously observant Jewish and Muslim communities in the country. Jerusalem, known for its rich religious history and tradition, holds a more modest pride parade. A ultra-Orthodox Jew stabbed a girl to death at that parade in 2015. Our vision is to build a global news network that provides a credible source for world news, events, and trends while giving respect and honor to Christians of all major denominations — Evangelical, Orthodox, Anglican, Catholic, and Protestant. We believe Christians need and deserve their own global news network to keep the worldwide Church informed, and to offer Christians a positive alternative to the anti–Christian bigotry of the mainstream news media. Like David vs. Goliath, Rick Wiles is a citizen reporter who decided to take on the Big News Media. Starting with a $7,500 donation in May 1999 to launch the first radio program, Rick’s faith in God and steadfast determination has overseen the growth and development of TruNews into an internationally recognized source of credible news and information in a world where nothing seems to make sense anymore. Rick’s professional career was in media marketing and advertising sales. Throughout his early years, God’s hand silently guided him to be in employed in the latest new media. While in his early 20’s, Rick’s first media job was with a new FM radio station in the days when AM was still king. In 1980, he blazed a path as a pioneer in local cable television advertising when CNN and ESPN were new start-up channels on cable TV. As a sales manager, he launched one of the first cable advertising interconnects in the nation. He was hired in 1984 by the Christian Broadcasting Network as the first National Cable Marketing Manager for the new CBN Cable Network which later became the Family Channel. In 1995, Paul F. Crouch hired Rick as the Marketing Director for Trinity Broadcasting Network where Rick repositioned the TBN brand inside the cable industry — and played an important role in negotiating the early contracts to launch TBN on DirectTV, DISH, and the former PrimeStar DBS systems. Rick resigned from TBN in September 1998 after receiving a dramatic call from God to full–time ministry. Have questions? Please send an email to [email protected] We are here to pray for you. 00:53
Tel Aviv has become in the last decade a choice destination for the gay community on holiday, and Gay Pride Week which kicks off on Friday has become huge, with 200,000 people expected to party. From a couple of thousand gay tourists in 2006 to some 50,000 today it has been a goldmine for the city and a touted success for the Brand Israel campaign, launched in 2005. Its brief was to change Israel's image from a country at war to a fun, liberal playground, modern and welcoming. However some … READ MORE : http://www.euronews.com/2016/06/03/tel-aviv-gay-pride-week-accused-of-pinkwashing-israeli-abuses What are the top stories today? Thousands take part in Tel Aviv Gay Pride parade

01:28
(9 Jun 2017) Thousands of people joined a huge party on the streets of Tel Aviv on Friday for the city's annual Gay Pride Parade, the largest event of its kind in the Middle East. Israeli police estimated that over 100,000 people were participating. The event drew thousands of visitors from around the world. While liberal Tel Aviv is seen as gay-friendly, the fault lines have been pronounced in Jerusalem, the ancient biblical city rich in religious history and tradition. An extremist ultra-Orthodox Jew stabbed a 16-year-old girl to death at a gay pride march there in 2015.
