How to Install ParrotSec OS in Virtualbox #Ethical Hacking

11:40
How to Install ParrotSec OS in Virtualbox #Ethical Hacking Visit Our Website:https://www.dmznetworks.tech Download Parrot OS ISO: https://bit.ly/2GLZILy Download VirtualBox: https://bit.ly/1mQkaJC How to Install ParrotSec OS in Virtualbox step by step Step 1: Downloading and installing VirtualBox Head over to the Oracle VirtualBox Website and download the newest version of VirtualBox. Install it after you downloaded it, leaving everything on default. Step 2: Downloading ParrotSec OS Download the Parrot Security Distribution. Choose either 32 or 64 bit according to your System Architecture. Once you have VirtualBox installed and downloaded the ParrotSec ISO file, we can go ahead and create our Virtual Machine. Step 3: Creating the ParrotSec VM Alright, open VirtualBox and click on New to create a new VM. Enter a Name, as System choose Linux and Other Linux 64bit or 32bit according to your architecture. Creating a new VM Next, we are going to allocate memory. I have plenty so I give it 4096 MB. Adjust according to your system memory. Allocating around 25-50% is fine. Allocating Memory Now we create our Virtual Hard Drive. Choose to Create a virtual hard disk now. Creating a Virtual Hard Disk Leave the format on VDI for VirtualBox Disk Image. Choose VDI Next, choose Dynamically allocated. This means, that if you choose let’s say a Hard Disk Size of 20GB, it will only take up space it’s actually using, not the full 20 GB. It fills up space over time to a maximum of 20 GB. Choose Dynamically Allocated Next, we are going to choose a location where to save our .VDI file. Choose a location that suits you best. Preferably an SSD drive. Click on the little folder on the right side to choose a location, then adjust the Disk Size. I’ll give it 25GB so it has some room to grow (Wordlists etc.) Adjusting the VDI location and size Now go ahead and start your VM. You will get asked to provide the path to the ParrotSec.ISO file you downloaded earlier. Click on the folder and specify the file location, most likely C:\Users\YourUserName\Downloads. Hit Start. Starting the V Step 4: Installing ParrotSec Alright, time to run through the installation process. In the first Window that comes up choose Install. Installing ParrotSec Next, choose the Standard Installer. Optional you can choose the GTK GUI installer. I like old school, so I don’t. Choose the Standard Installer Now we are going through the tedious process of choosing Languages, Locales and Keyboard layouts. I said step-by-step, so we do step-by-step If you are familiar with those settings, just skip through, same same but different. Select your System Language Select your Location next. Select your Location …And select your Locales. If you don’t know what to choose here, just leave it at U S A. Choosing a Locale Trust me, we are almost there. Choose a Keymap to use for the installation. It doesn’t really matter, you have to choose it again once the System boots up anyway, don’t know why but it is what it is. Choosing a Keyboard Layout Now set your ROOT password. This is your most important Password, if you are a Windows guy, this is your Administrator Password. Choose wisely. Choosing a Root Password Next, we are creating a User Account for non-Administrative activities. It’s great that this is automatically done in Parrot, in Kali you would need to do this manually. Choose a Username. Don’t use my Username. Creating a Non-root User Did I already say we are almost there? It was a lie. Now we are almost there. For Partitioning Method choose: Guided – Use Entire Disk. Choosing a Partitioning Method Select your Virtual Hard Disk. Choosing your VBOX Hard Disk Now we are choosing a Partitioning File. Leave it on All Files in one partition, except you know what you are doing. Choosing a Partitioning Scheme Select Finish partitioning and write changes to disk and confirm the following Warning with yes. Writing changes to Disk Writing changes to Disk Confirm that you want to install the Grub Bootloader on the Master boot Record. Installing Grub Now choose your VBOX Hard Disk. Choosing the Hard Disk Now wait for the installation to finish, it takes around 10 Minutes. Confirm with Continue to reboot the system. Congratulations! Initial Installation done! How to Install Debian 8.2 (Jessie) in VMware Workstation/Player Step-by-Step [Subtitle] [HD]

11:43
This video shows you how to install Debian 8 (Jessie) in VMware Workstation 12. Debian 8.2 GNOME is used in this video. English Subtitle is available for this video. You can also contribute subtitle for your language. Debian is known for its rock-solid foundation, nothing could possibly go wrong on a Debian linux server. It is easy to manage a Debian system. Debian is flexible and can be configured as a desktop, or as a server. Debian made dpkg manager, which is the underlying system on several popular distros like Ubuntu and Mint. Debian Website: https://www.debian.org/ Website: http://www.sysadminshowto.com/ Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/SysAdminsHowto/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/SysAdmHowto Google Plus: http://google.com/+Sysadminshowtos Video URL: https://youtu.be/-C1UDPg9YQ8 0:00:02 Today, It's my honor to show you how to install Debian 8.2 Jessie in VMware Workstation. 0:00:08 I have been using Debian for almost 15 years. 0:00:11 Debian is one of the oldest Linux distribution, which first released in 1996. 0:00:18 It has served as the framework for many other distributions. 0:00:23 Such as Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Kali Linux 2 and many others. 0:00:28 Debian 8 offers different desktop environments but GNOME is the primarily supported interface. 0:00:34 In this video, I will also use GNOME. 0:00:37 Debian is a great choice for both workstations and server systems. 0:00:44 First, we'll go to Debian website and download Debian 8.2 Installation media. 0:00:50 and we'll create a virtual machine. 0:00:52 and we'll start Debian 8 installation. 0:00:56 After the installation, we'll do post installation tasks. 0:01:03 Open up your browser and go to Debian website. 0:01:17 You can see "Try Debian live before installing." Click it. 0:01:22 You see 32-bit and 64-bit editions. 0:01:34 As you can see, there are many installation medias. 0:01:38 All of these are the same but with different Desktop Environments 0:01:43 Such as Cinnamon, GNOME, KDE, MATE etc. 0:01:46 In this video, I will use Debian 8.2 GNOME Desktop. 0:01:54 As you can see I already downloaded installation media. 0:02:04 Second step is to create a virtual machine. 0:02:09 You can Click "Create a New Virtual Machine" or 0:02:12 go to file then Click " New Virtual Machine" 0:02:21 Click Installer disk image file and then click Browse. 0:02:27.100,0:02:29.300 Go to your installation media. 0:02:32 VMware Installer could not detect which operating system is in this disc image. 0:02:44 At Select Guest operating system screen, Choose Linux 0:02:51 Choose Debian 8 64-bit and then Click Next. 0:03:00 Give a name to your Virtual Machine. Let's say "debian8" and click Next. 0:03:11 Recommended disk size for Debian 8 is 20 GB but I want 40 GB virtual disk space. 0:03:22 I also want to store virtual disk as a single file. 0:03:27 I want to customize my virtual hardware. 0:03:32 I wan to change virtual memory to 2 GB 0:03:47 I want Bridge networking. My virtual machine can connect to my physical network directly. 0:04:10 Click Power on this virtual machine. 0:04:22 Choose Graphical Install and press Enter. 0:04:31 At select language page, choose language used during the installation. English is OK. 0:05:16 Give a name to your Debian. Let's say debian8 0:05:21 This is the hostname of your virtual machine. 0:05:38 Set your root password here and click Continue. 0:05:46 Let's create a new user! 0:06:06 Set username for this new user. 0:06:16 Set password for new user. 0:06:26 Configure your Time Zone. 0:06:35 At Partition disks, you can choose Guided - use entire disk or... 0:06:41 entire disk and set up LVM or encrypted LVM or Manual. 0:06:48 Let's use Guided entire disk. 0:07:06 Let's choose All files in one partition - recommended for new users. 0:07:16 We can finish partitioning and write changes to disk. 0:07:24 Write the changes to disk? Choose 0:07:36 Installation has just started. 0:07:56 It asks "Use a network mirror?" Choose Yes. 0:08:04 Choose the nearest location to you. 0:08:09 Choose a network mirror. 0:08:15 If you use HTTP proxy, set it here. 0:08:20 I don't have any proxy so I left it as blank. 0:08:35 It asks "Install the GRUB boot loader to the master boot record?" 0:08:42 Choose Yes! Otherwise your virtual machine cannot boot. 0:08:48 Choose the correct hard disk! 0:09:01 It's now finishing the installation. 0:09:28 Debian 8 Virtual Machine is booting up! 0:09:33 Login as user that we created during the installation. 0:09:47 We've just installed Debian 8.2 Jessie in VMware Workstation. 0:09:54 Let's go back to our notes and do some post installation tasks. 0:10:02 First, let's check open-vm-tools is installed or not! 0:10:16 Run "dpkg -l | grep open-vm-tools" 0:10:29 As you can see, Open VMware Tools is already installed. 0:10:43 Go to to View and then click Fit guest now. 0:10:56 You can also use file copy between the host and guest operating system. 0:11:03 Let's try to copy a file from host to this virtual machine.

Acura & Jonathan Jarvis at al. - Interactive Oracle, Multi-Touch Audiovisual Interface 2006/2007

01:52
Each of the three Oracles that we built consist of a tabletop based projection with a high lumen projector mounted underneath, and a multi-user, multi-touch sensor system above. As visitors move their hands across the surface, Acura related graphics and symbols come to life with a flourish of activity and sound. Two interface elements allow visitors to control the experience. An inner slider / handle lets users select from four different categories of visuals: technology, connected, performance, and design. The two outermost sliders / handles, allow a user to control the color spectrum, from which the symbols will randomly select, when they generate themselves. 05:44
You want to share files between your main system and the system you installed in a VirtualBox. Watch this video and you will lean how to enable a shared folder between your main system and your Virtualbox linux systems including Arch Linux, Debian, Linux Mint / Ubuntu. More Arch Linux videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSmXPSsgkZLt66s-M_gfQtMakc8iYJY6M More Debian videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSmXPSsgkZLtSGWdxu_vayfotqMCMzZl- More Linux Mint videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSmXPSsgkZLsiemyy_Rzcqf_0iED8ZfHS There are several essential steps to enble a shared folder between your guest system and your host system. The guest system is the system installed in the Virtualbox, the host system is you main system installed on your hardware. 1. You need to install guest additions for your guest system. 2. Create a shared folder between your host to your guest systems. 3. Change the user permission for a shared folder - so you can access the shared files from your guest system without root privileges. After these steps all files created in this shared folder will be available in both the host and the guest systems. 1:06 Arch Linux guest system Make sure your Arch Linux guest system is up to date: sudo pacman -Syu Install linux headers: sudo pacman -S linux-lts-headers or sudo pacman -S linux-headers Install virtualbox-guest-utils: sudo pacman -S virtualbox-guest-utils for linux kernel choose virtualbox-guest-modules-arch for other kernels choose virtualbox-guest-dkms Load the Virtualbox kernel modules: sudo systemctl enable vboxservice Then add a shared folder. Reboot. Add your user to the vboxsf group and give that user a permission to access the media folder: sudo usermod -a -G vboxsf yourusername sudo chown -R yourusername:users /media/ Log out, log in. 3:02 Debian guest system (Please, use this way for any other distro. It's a more universal way.) Make sure these packages are installed: sudo apt install build-essential dkms linux-headers-$(uname -r) Then add a shared folder. Reboot. Insert Guest addition image and install VBoxLinuxAdditions: sudo sh VBoxLinuxAdditions.run Reboot. Add your user to the vboxsf group: sudo usermod -a -G vboxsf yourusername And change the permission of the media folder: sudo chown -R yourusername:users /media/ Log out, log in. 4:39 Linux Mint / Ubuntu guest system Open the software manager and install virtualbox-guest-X11 virtualbox-guest-utils virtualbox-guest-dkms Add a shared folder. Reboot. Then add your user to the vboxsf group. sudo usermod -a -G vboxsf alu Change the permission. sudo chown -R alu:users /media/ Log out, log in. Now you can use a shared folder to move files between your host and guest systems. ################################################ Support on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/averagelinuxuser Donate through PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/Kryvokhyzha ################################################ More cool Linux stuff at other social media: Google+ - Best Linux Stuff: https://plus.google.com/+AverageLinuxUser Facebook - Top Linux Tips: https://www.facebook.com/AverageLinuxUser Twitter - Daily Linux News: http://twitter.com/AVGLinuxUser Website: http://averagelinuxuser.com/

01:27
Follow this step by step tutorial to learn how to set environment variables from system settings in the windows operating system. Don't forget to check out our site http://howtech.tv/ for more free how-to videos! http://youtube.com/ithowtovids - our feed http://www.facebook.com/howtechtv - join us on facebook https://plus.google.com/103440382717658277879 - our group in Google+ In this tutorial, you will learn how to set environment variables in windows. Operating systems require environment variables as settings and configurations for several processes. Although these variables are automatically defined or initialized during the installation of the system or specific software, in windows, to set environment variables manually is not a difficult task. That's because windows allows us to manually add, remove or edit environment variables through system settings according to our requirements. Step # 1 -- Opening environment variables In windows, to set environmental variables, you can take two paths. Either we can go to control panel, then access the system security option, and then the system option. Or we can simply right click on My Computer and select its properties. Once we are in the system window, select the advanced system settings from the list on the left side. A new window will pop up. Over here, click on the environment variables button near the bottom of this window and you can now access the Windows environment variables. Step # 2 -- Adding a variable In this window there are two sets of environment variables, one is the "user variables", and the other is the "system variables". Choose the new button in the user variables section to open the "define a new variable" dialog window. Over here, you will be required to define the variable name as anything you wish to set, such as temporary and then define its value as the path to the directory. With that done, let's complete this process by pressing OK. Your new environment variable has been created now. Step # 3 -- Editing and removing a variable To edit an environment variable, click on it, and then click on the edit button to open a dialog window. Here we can edit the name and value of the variable. Likewise to remove an environment variable, simply click on the variable and then click on the delete button. Once all the definitions are complete, close the window and restart your computer to allow the operating system to load these settings on boot. And that's basically all you need to know for how to set environment variables in windows.

Installing Virtual Box and Windows 7 on Mac OSX

UPDATE: Check out my latest video! Installing Windows 8 on Mac OSX Mountain Lion 10.8 http://youtu.be/elOBxYsMQHg Installing Windows 7 ISO on Mac OSX with Virtual Box http://youtu.be/-TCgmY3kkC4 Wallpaper: http://j.mp/ZMKWsa Download Windows 7 Professional with Service Pack 1 (SP1): Below you can find the a website with download links for Windows 7: Make sure you download the ISO that starts with en_ because that's the english version. http://mirror.corenoc.de/digitalrivercontent.net/ https://www.virtualbox.org/ VirtualBox is a cross-platform virtualization application. What does that mean? For one thing, it installs on your existing Intel or AMD-based computers, whether they are running Windows, Mac, Linux or Solaris operating systems. Secondly, it extends the capabilities of your existing computer so that it can run multiple operating systems (inside multiple virtual machines) at the same time. So, for example, you can run Windows and Linux on your Mac, run Windows Server 2008 on your Linux server, run Linux on your Windows PC, and so on, all alongside your existing applications. You can install and run as many virtual machines as you like -- the only practical limits are disk space and memory. VirtualBox is deceptively simple yet also very powerful. It can run everywhere from small embedded systems or desktop class machines all the way up to datacenter deployments and even Cloud environments. When dealing with virtualization (and also for understanding the following chapters of this documentation), it helps to acquaint oneself with a bit of crucial terminology, especially the following terms: Terminology: Host operating system (host OS). This is the operating system of the physical computer on which VirtualBox was installed. There are versions of VirtualBox for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and Solaris hosts; for details, please see the section called "Supported host operating systems". Most of the time, this User Manual discusses all VirtualBox versions together. There may be platform-specific differences which we will point out where appropriate. Guest operating system (guest OS). This is the operating system that is running inside the virtual machine. Theoretically, VirtualBox can run any x86 operating system (DOS, Windows, OS/2, FreeBSD, OpenBSD), but to achieve near-native performance of the guest code on your machine, we had to go through a lot of optimizations that are specific to certain operating systems. So while your favorite operating system may run as a guest, we officially support and optimize for a select few (which, however, include the most common ones). Virtual machine (VM). This is the special environment that VirtualBox creates for your guest operating system while it is running. In other words, you run your guest operating system "in" a VM. Normally, a VM will be shown as a window on your computer's desktop, but depending on which of the various frontends of VirtualBox you use, it can be displayed in full-screen mode or remotely on another computer. In a more abstract way, internally, VirtualBox thinks of a VM as a set of parameters that determine its behavior. They include hardware settings (how much memory the VM should have, what hard disks VirtualBox should virtualize through which container files, what CDs are mounted etc.) as well as state information (whether the VM is currently running, saved, its snapshots etc.). These settings are mirrored in the VirtualBox Manager window as well as the VBoxManage command line program; see Chapter 8, VBoxManage. In other words, a VM is also what you can see in its settings dialog.

MySQL - CREATE Database Command in Terminal - Console [ SHOW SELECT DROP USE ]

08:21
In this tutorial I explain how to create, drop, select, show and use databases on a mysql server using on the terminal. It probably one of the simplest commands to know in the mysql syntax, and also one of the least used commands. I am how often is it that you decide to create a database. So you can create database, by simply giving the command: CREATE DATABASE database_name; Then to use the database: USE database_name; By giving the USE command, you are telling mysql that every command which you use that does not have a database prrefix database.table_name then it should assume that you mean the database which you have declared. To delete database, you should issue the following command: DROP DATABASE database_name; By aware, that this deletes all tables with it, therefore if you have data in some tables which you need then, make certain to back up this data prior to dropping database, You can always, tell which database you are currently using, by issuing the command: SELECT DATABASE(); This will list out the one single database which you have selected, or are using. If you havent selected a database to use, then it will display NULL You can get a list of all databases on this one server by issuing the command: SHOW DATABASES; This will then list out all databases on the server.

Oracle Solaris Root Mirror

08:48
Root Mirror Mirroring is a concept in Oracle Solaris to create redundancy between two or more hard disks. In this tutorial, I am gonna setup root mirror in such a way that if one of the disks fail for whatever reason, the operating system can be booted from the other disk. Requirements We have two servers each with following hardware and software. SPARC S7-2. 254 GB RAM. 5 Ethernet Interfaces (net0, net1, net2, net3 & net4). 4 Disks, each of around 500 GB. Oracle Solaris 11. OSC repository ISO image. Howto To begin with, I have logged in the server as root user. If Oracle Solaris is installed with ZFS filesystem, then a ZPOOL called "rpool" is created by default. If the OS is installed with UFS filesystem then it has to be converted into ZFS filesystem before proceeding. Since I am on SPARC server with Oracle Solaris v11, the former is setup by default. Executing the following command will show us the status of the default ZPOOL. List the available disks which can be used for adding in "rpool". Disks can be listed like so. Out of the list, I selected the second disk. Make sure that the selected disk is empty or with no useful data. It is not mandatory that we should select the next disk in sequence. Next, we attach the newly selected disk to the pool of existing disks, in this case, the default disk which is already in the pool. The syntax to attach the disk is shown below. Once the disk is added to the pool, resilvering begins. What is resilvering you ask ? Well, the process of moving data from one device to another device is known as resilvering. Its status can be checked using the same command which is given above but with the option of giving the pool name. Wait till the resilvering completes and the "state" turns from "Degraded" to "Online" like so. And we are done. It's that simple folks. Get more tutorials on http://www.nixfury.com

Installing Linux & Windows in Dual Boot: CORRECT PARTITION SCHEME & BOOT LOADER SETUP

16:12
In this video, I will cover two important steps of Installing Linux alongside your windows OS. 1) Choosing the correct Partition scheme 2) Setting up your Windows Boot loader to boot to Linux instead of Linux bootloader (e.g : GRUB) During a standard Linux installation, a user do not have to worry about this. But when you are trying to install Linux in separate partition, keeping your current OS, it gets little trickier. If you do not configure these two options correctly, you might end up corrupting your bootloader or previous OS installation. I will also show how you can add your Linux os option to the Windows 8 bootloader using BCDedit. This is important so that in case in future if you decide to get rid of Linux OS, your computer boots normally without any issues.

03:17
You can support this channel by making a small donation here : https://www.paypal.me/technoniac If you ever faced problems to change the screen resolution of your virtual Machine, suitable with your computer display. Then this video might help you. I used Oracle VirtualBox and installed a windows 7 as guest or virtual machine. When I try to change the resolution on my guest machine, it does not have the resolution, optimal for my computer display. If I change the View to "Full Screen Mode", the screen does not cover the full display. Again if I change the View to "Scaled Mode", the screen got stretched and deformed. To fix this proplem we need to install Virtualbox Guest Additions. To install Guest Additions click "Devices", on menubar, and then click "Insert Guest Additions CD image" from the drop down menu. Open "My Computer" and double click the CD drive loaded with "Virtualbox Guest Additions". This will open up "Oracle VirtualBox Guest Additions Setup" dialog box. Click "Next". Click "Next" again. Click "Install". A windows security dialog box will open up. Select the option, "Always trust the software from Oracle Corporation" and then click "Install". When the installation finished reboot your guest machine. The screen resolution should be fixed.
