Other times, the soon to be Mrs. Prince Harry had an acai bowl with berries, bee pollen, and special honey made from the nectar of manuka trees, she told The Chalkboard magazine. If you took a peek inside Meghan's fridge, and you'd find carrots, hummus, green juice, almond milk, and homemade chia seed pudding. Meghan refilled a mason jar with plain old filtered water all day long or sipped Pellegrino with lime, according to The Chalkboard magazine. "Hydrate, hydrate, all the time," Meghan told. "Your skin will look better, everything will look really good." Of course I’m going to have that glass of wine. It’s delicious and I enjoy it," Meghan said in an interview with Best Health magazine. At the time, she was into Malbec, Cabernet, and Pinot Noir. Meghan's go-tos are pasta and fries, she told Best Health magazine."I don’t ever want to feel deprived," she said. Along side the Rock, Zac holds his own, having carved out a chiseled body by focusing on 7 key elements of his training and nutrition. Recently, Men’s Fitness magazine published a story about the gains Efron made to get ready for his Summer comedy role. In this video, I am breaking down the most important aspects of his diet plan and workouts to help you to start getting better results from your workouts heading into Summer. I’m also going to take a look back at a former “most wanted” celebrity body (that of Taylor Lautner) to see what went wrong and prevented his gains from being permanent. First and foremost, it is worth noting that neither Zac Efron or Taylor Lautner are heavyweights. Both stand just 5 foot 10 inches tall and weigh no more than 170 pounds. To make his transformation for Baywatch, Efron gained just 10 pounds of lean muscle. The thing is, when you minimize your body fat levels and maximize the amount of muscle your body can naturally carry…you look much bigger than you are. Both of these guys have mastered this. That said, you can’t expect to look better without being willing to put in some hard work along the way. Zac did just this by adopting more heavy weight training into his workout routine. He stated that he never had lifted very heavy or explosive before preparing for this film. A lot of people actually find themselves in a similar position either because they are uncomfortable lifting heavy or just don’t have the base strength to be able to do it. By increasing his strength levels on the basic compound lifts, Efron was able to start adding to his muscle density and thickness. Next he followed a push, pull, legs training split. This workout sequence allows you to train your body more athletically since you train movements instead of individual muscles. The back and biceps are responsible for all lifts in which you pull the weight towards you or pull your body towards a fixed bar. It’s impossible to isolate their actions so it helps to train them together to allow you more recovery time between workouts. Daily ab training is another key to having the resting tone needed to showcase your abs year round (provided your diet and nutrition are in check). Zac Efron’s diet is also covered here as well. By including a cheat day once in awhile, he is able to maintain his sanity and consistency required to keep his body fat levels low year round. Chicken and fish (salmon, tilapia) are staples. He also picks up some quinoa which has a low hypoglycemic index. Watch my story of how I did some extreme dieting, blew up like a human balloon, and landed in the ER! Extreme case of water retention. Calorie restriction and shift in sodium balance was the cause. Yo-yo dieting was an issue of mine and I had a vicious cycle of overeating and undereating. My worst case was when I competed in my first bodybuilding show in the bikni division. I went from 140lbs to 114lbs on stage. I was on a very low calorie diet of 900-1000 calories. Post show, I had no plan and ate an average of 4,000- 5000 calories of foods that contained a lot of addicting fat, sugar, and salt. Bagels, chocolates, nuts, boneless barbeque spare ribs, chicken salad wraps, waffle fries, ranch dressing, and cashews. I gained 33lbs of fluid in my body after a week! I’m going to answer questions from my Intermittent Fasting Life Facebook support group. Questions are about intermittent fasting, losing weight, losing fat, and building muscle. Comments/Questions were: - I need to build muscle - Can I have cream in my coffee? - Explain the IF plan completely - Please can you talk about the skinny fat body completion! And if it’s possible to get rid of it with IF! - I’m confused about pre workout aminos and post. Does it break the fast?!? Everday fast? Or 2 days a week? - If you are doing the 18:8 plan, do you ever take rest days where you eat whenever? Or just continue straight through? - Losing weight. How many carbs a day? - Strategies to lose weight - How to work out (gain muscle) lose weight (FAT). What to eat on this type of day on a 16-8. - Regarding building muscle: I believe that I need between 200-300 grams of protein per day to gain muscle. I am currently strength training an average of 4 days a week. I am migrating from 16:8 to 20:4 and find it difficult to eat enough protein. In the 4 hour feeding window. What suggestions do you have for my situation? I am 6’1 and my current weight is about 215 with 15% fat. - No water? I have sydrogens, I can’t do no water.
