Why not create a profile on oracle and only grant access to the views you want , that way you don't see all the tables . Good tutorial. Well explained

I'm running Oracle on my desktop and trying to link to excel. I'm having problems figuring out what the server name should be. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Deep Sanghavi (1 year ago)
Bill Brasky usually its blank. but if youre unable to find it, paste this as sql query in oracle. select sys_context('USERENV','SERVER_HOST') from dual.

I love your video, it is very helpful. Is this possible to update Oracle from Excel? For example, I tried to insert a new row in Excel and save it, but when I opened Oracle, the new row is not in Oracle database. I am very curious if updating Oracle database using Excel is possible. Do you know anything about this?

Özcan ALTINBAŞ (4 years ago)
Simply, right-click on the sheet and select REFRESH. You don't need the Button actually.

Hi, I think you should install Oracle Database Client on your workstation.
