Hello Lauren - I am a web developer and I work in the office with 6 other guys. I am the only female programmer in the office. I also run my own business - and I import a knitting yarn. For my job I don't want to over dress compare to these nerds around with hoodies and jeans all day. I kinda wear the same but then for my business meeting it doesn't fit in if I have a meeting after my work. I want to wear hills to work but then I might be too sexy or not fit with the style to other co-workers. On the other hand I look too simple for business meetings. I need a middle line. Specially about shoes and pants, skirts - yes or no? Please help me

Are boyfriend jeans too young for a 55 year old? Love the looks you suggest but still want to dress age appropriate.
emily mullen (1 year ago)
Marcy K definitely! As long as you style it properly, just like any outfit
Skellexis (1 year ago)
Marcy K I don't think so! As long as YOU are comfortable, I don't see a problem. :)

where is the best place to buy jeans?

Hello.... How to be CUTE while wearing a really really baggy sweater that is 2 plus size of my size??
Skellexis (1 year ago)
Wear the sleeves over your hands idk you've basically already won by wearing big clothes because it makes you seem cute and small

How can I style a velvet dress?
Anne D. (2 years ago)
Hey Lauren, I have an hourglass figure and am on the plus size side. I've watched your video on proportional figures and it has been really helpful. However, applying your advice when shopping confirmed what I feared: a lot of the brands, especially the affordable ones (student here) don't really cater to this type of figure - especially in the plus size section. Most things are rather tent-shaped which really doesn't work for me especially because I have quite large breasts. Do you have any advice on how to adapt pieces to a proportional figure? I have tried belts but haven't really gotten the hang of it so far.

Hi! What size are you wearing in that top? Thanks! :)

Hi Lauren, I am a short girl (5'2) and always wonder if I can wear knee high boots, in my mind it is just for tall girls with super long legs. What do you think, is there a chance for me? Heel or flat? And what clothes do I pair it with? Thank you
Crafting with Serena (1 year ago)
I'm 5 foot exactly
Dog LoverXOX (2 years ago)
Anna Bianchi I think it'll work but I recommend ones with heels. I'm 5'3 too 🙃

Hello Lauren. please show us some pieces a lady over 50 can wear. Outfits for this old chick to still have fun in.
Niketa Nichols (2 years ago)
Hi Lauren, I recently bought the Gucci princetown slippers in red. I absolutely love them although I don't wear flats often because I am 5'3" on a good day. LOL I need some advice on how to wear them to work while still feeling confident in flats. Thank you so much!

Lauren, thanks for your tips! I downloaded your style checklist (a life saver for someone like me who gets distracted and only buys statement pieces). Right now I'm loving body jewelry but don't know how to wear it. Any tips?
hannah*hazel (2 years ago)
Every guide on how to wear it involves skinny girls wearing tube tops. I'm a 30 year old woman in Boston. I'm not going to wear a tube top.

@Lauren Messiah, I love your advice and tips you give on baggy/sexy outfits! Question: I'm 25 years old; 4'11 110 pounds I have a really short torso and yes short skinny legs. I'm quite curvy in the back side and have such a hard time to find shirts that hit me right on my waist line let's not talk about pants. I'm needing advice on dressing my frame to actually look like an adult.😕 Any advice on online/ in store petite clothing that you could recommend. I'm a entrepreneurial/stay at home mom finding it extremely hard to get dressed and feel like myself. Help me please!!!!!!!!!

ILuvMyBrwnSkin Nordstrom is my go to. Fast and awesome.

ILuvMyBrwnSkin There's a place called La Vie En Rose that makes quality bras. Also La Senza makes good under garments that are more reasonably priced than VS.

First time question asker here, I was wondering if you have some basic tips for cleaning out your closet. It never fails that I end up convincing myself to keep something I don't need because "I may need this in the future" or some sentimental value that isn't really important. What do you suggest to get past these humps and finally get rid of those pieces that have been hanging around far too long.
fluximagery (2 years ago)
Kayla Barnette yes! Same issue. Great question!
Lauren, I lOVE your show! My question is: I am a fitness and yoga instructor, and I run my own business. This means that 24-7 around town people see me as the "yoga girl" because my business is private lessons. It makes it easy to talk about my business and get clients. Is this a good idea? How to I get to wear all my "fun clothes" /normal clothes without abandoning my business mindset.

great question! adding it to my list :)

Can you do a video on how to make baggy clothing look professional? I love oversize minimal looks, but struggle to make them not look frumpy at the office. Thanks!
ManriqueGaby (2 years ago)
Hi Alana! I have a video styling baggy shorts. I think you can get some ideas to make them look professional :)
Nancy Moncrief (2 years ago)
Hi Lauren, you made me giggle with that double bagger comment. You are pretty awesome, I've watched all your videos. Question for you - I'm petite and have a hard time finding petite clothes..Where can I get great petite sized clothing besides the Ann Taylor and Loft? Thanks in advance!
Herguiltless-garb (1 year ago)
Amy Lozy (2 years ago)
Nancy Moncrief another thing you can do is follow petite bloggers since they share outfit details all the time
